Watched him vs Saskatoon and he was very good despite no points. Hit a post and was robbed by the goalie a couple times. His play away from the puck is so good and he can actually skate pretty fast with his almost 6'7 frame now. He actually looks fairly thin so I think he could add quite a bit of weight once he bulks up with age. He also won almost every faceoff he took

and has terrible feet. They are very different players who both are unlikely to be impact NHLers, but for vastly different reasons.

Comparatively terrible feet or just plain terrible? Is he slow, or is he a poor skater / edge work? Is it something that you think will correct as he matures?

Please elaborate because I disagree.
Maybe terrible was an exaggeration, but he has the typical issues most big guys have which are hard to fix, which are a lack of explosiveness, and agility, whereas McLeod is one of the top skaters in junior hockey. He's fine at top speed, but he's entirely reliant on size in those tight situations to create separation.

I don't know how anyone could think him and Mikey McLeod are similar, and Rasmussen skating is terrible compared to McLeod.

Mcleod is a great skater. I too was surprised someone threw that out as a comparison. So would you say like Logan Brown... the size hampers his explosiveness, quickness, reaction ability?

Yes, but in my limited viewings of Rasmussen (I have seen Brown a bunch more due to him being an OHL guy), Brown seems more fluid. But, I seem to be on the low-side of where Rasmussen ranks.

I'd say Rasmussen has more grit than Brown and is willing to compete. Brown is a guy you constantly wonder which version will show up, but has more skill and better vision than Rasmussen.

I suspect he will face the same issues most bigger guys encounter when moving into the pro game: getting used to a faster pace, and figuring out how to do damage in tight when facing off against much stronger D-men. He could become a PP beast down the road as he has natural goal scorers instincts. I'd imagine there are a handful of teams very high on him given the relative parity of the mid 1st round of this draft class.

The McLeod comparison is ... laughably bad. They are similar in the sense that they both play hockey and have Canadian birth certificates.

Most junior players skating looks weak compared to McLeods.
As far as Rasmussen's skating I think it is actually one of his strengths. These scouting reports back that up

Disagree, fine top speed but lacking in agility or acceleration, and with his size those tend to be hard to clean up. Also, the only one of those scouts I would trust is Button. I have more in-depth stuff that I can't post here due to it being proprietary stuff that would disagree with that assessment. He is quite limited skating with the puck, which will only get further exposed as he moves up levels. It may not be a full on weakness, but I wouldn't consider his skating a strength. Creating separation in tiny spaces is essential at the next level, and his skating leaves much to be desired in that regard when projecting to the next level. He may be fine when at top speed, but his limited puck carrying abilities limit his ability to utilize it.

Anyone who thinks Rasmussen is a contender for 1OA, I wouldn't let draft my team in NHL 17 be a gm mode.

Alright, I guess we agree to disagree but you did make it sound like he had terrible skating which in fact he does not have. Cheers.

What is his comparable: is he Logan Brown, Michael McCarron, Anthony Mantha, Keith Primeau (for the throwback)...? Who?

He's got a hell of a shot, but he's not going to get as much time in the pros as he seems to be getting in the WHL.
