He was even over a ppg on a really bad team in his draft year. Doesn't make sense to me.

Wasn't last year his D+1 year and his draft year the one prior, when he had 30 points in 63 games? I'm probably mistaken but I thought that was the case.

Either way good for him on going to the Habs camp, wish him the best.

No he's a late-1997 birthday so his first year of eligibility was last year

Welcoming him to the CBJ family.

He has 11 assists, 13 goals, 24 points in 17 games this year for Halifax and is a +10.

What can us CBJ fans expect from him? Scouting report/comparisons/what’s his potential?

Thanks!

I don't understand why he was passed over the last 14 rounds of NHL drafts, but it's a solid free young asset for Columbus.

This is a great signing. FINALLY!!!!! one of my favourites night in night out. Offence to spare. PP/PK even strength. Something happens when he's out there. People in the stands wait for his next shift to see what comes next. We love him in Halifax and are gonna miss him when he's gone. I was worried that he would have to play overseas. All that said he may never be an NHL regular but this gives him a chance. Probably all he needs. The kid is from Montreal and I know his heart was set to play for them but at this point I think he's in a better situation with Columbus. I hope the cannon gets to blow some rounds in his honour.

Speedy, small but gritty forward with a scoring touch. If it somewhat translates to the pros I could see a Matthew Lombardi type player. Bit of scoring good speed and two play could be a sold third liner in today's NHL. That's if he hits his potential.

Good for him! He's been along with many top guys throughout Halifax....Drouin, Hischier, Meier, Ehlers. Its great to see him get rewarded.
