Terrific start to begin the season with 13 pts in 8 games. This guy should have been drafted last year

Now 35 points in 21 Games to Lead the Q in scoring. Haven't seen him play but looks like he could've been drafted. Pretty solid numbers last year too
He's on a 113 point pace. If he break the 100 barrier you can almost guarantee he goes in the late 1st/early 2nd round. It is surprising he flew under the radar. Him and Hischier are dynamite they compliment each other well. With Fortier's vision and Hischiers speed they can dominate.
Was shocked when he went undrafted, and he's continued to dominate the Q as expected this season. He's pking this year as well.

Him and Hischier are great together. They play the game on a different level than anyone on the ice. His size works against him but the talent is there.

This guy better start getting respect from scouts at some point. The point production is hard to ignore but even though he isn't very big he's absolutely relentless and plays the game at a high speed. He's a hard guy to slow down and is constantly putting himself in good spots to create offense, not a perimeter player. Him and Hischier complement each other really well but Fortier creates a lot and can drive the offense.
I have a very strong feeling that this guy will make the show one day whether or not he gets drafted especially if he can continue to clean up play away from the puck which has shown good improvement.

It's worth noting that early in the season, before Hischier started lighting it up, Fortier was carrying the team offensively. Hischier is a fantastic prospect, but Fortier is by no means riding his coattails.
Not saying that Fortier is the same tier of prospect as Hischier, but I was pretty surprised when he wasn't drafted last year. Somebody will take him this time around.

Can any undrafted player out of the CHL be signed by a NHL team. I think Myers was invited to training camp.

No, he reenters the drsft this summer, he can be signed this summer only if he doesn't get drafted

Anything is possible I suppose, but only 16 forwards were invited last year so if the plan is to run the same type of camp it'd be pretty unlikely.

Man this guy is so smooth. He played the game today like everybody else was in slow motion. Great vision and anticipation. The whole team feeds off him. He made some errors on the point while on the power play so they moved him up front which worked out better. He gets more touches on the puck by far in every game then any other player. He has to make a few mistakes in the process. He works well with Sommpi and Hirshier. MacIssac is a better player when he's out with Fortier. It's easy to be a fan

Nice game by the kid last night. 2 goals. 1st star. Ducharme knows what he is all about. He should get a long hard look for the U-20s. I'm sure the Canadiens will regret not signing him.

Are you using the 11-10 game as the determining factor in the Q being a joke in your opinion?
Lol... It's the first time 2 teams scored 10 in a QMJHL game since 1992, and it's happened 4 times in history, with the pre-90s being a far higher scoring era. It's also the highest combined scoring game since then.
The QMJHL and OHL are roughly equal in goals per game, with the WHL being a fraction of a goal smaller.
The Mooseheads, one team in the QMJHL has a poor team that is extremely young and rookie ladden in the first year of a re-build with probably the worst back-up in the Q, maybe the CHL. They also have a lot of offensive firepower.
But sure, the QMJHL is an embarassing joke because games like that happen all the time.

Say what? When did Fortier have a 100 point season :S I think you are living in a fantasy world.
He has never had any where close to 100 pts in a QMJHL season, and teams missed a good pick, it happens. Just like Myers. Is the OHL a joke because Giroux went undrafted and picked up immediately in the QMJHL?
And yeah, because we all know guys like Justin Azevedo are future NHL superstars, thank god LAK drafted him!! 120+ points in the OHL.
