Rumor has it that Poitras is having a good camp and likely to see at least 9 regular season games to start the season. Impressive if true!
You're basing claim this on a strong pre-season?He will be considered better than Slafkovsky and Wright before the end of the year. Not a superstar but a bright spot in a garbage draft year.
The next massively overhyped average bruins prospect
He‘ll be a middle 6 forward, but will be hyped like a superstar.Disagree.
Kid has NHL smarts, see's the play well ahead of others.
1 game 1 point not too shabby. He‘ll be a middle 6 forward, but will be hyped like a superstar.

I live in Boston and work with a bunch of bruins fans all of whom hyped up guys like Studnicka, that finnish D whose name I can't remember, Donato, etc. and now this kid. Poitras looked good in the bit I saw of him during Canes INT but even the broadcast was overly focused on him for some reason. He's a random rookie 4th liner and they were talking about him like he was BedardThe last Bruin prospect that had any major hype was Mcavoy and it turned out he wasn’t getting as much hype as he deserved.

He might've been their best center last night. He should 100% be on the team for the full season. Looks really good and can be a huge difference maker for the B'sI like this kid, gotta think he stays longer than 9 games at this point, right?
that's fair and may be the case on some of those guys. I swear though the amount of times I heard about Studnicka becoming their next tyler seguin or some nonsense was just nauseatingI don’t think overhyping is the problem as much as holding on to too long before admitting they just aren’t it.
Every fan base hypes their own prospects, it’s nothing new.
But with Boston prospects for many it takes about 10 years before you are allowed to make a judgement

I think there's a pretty significant difference between the two. Studnicka got a full AHL season two years after being drafted and then proceeded to put dozens of disappointing NHL performances. Poitras turned 19 in March and in one game has looked significantly more NHL ready than Studnicka ever did.that's fair and may be the case on some of those guys.
