I’m curious if any Swedes have opinions on whether or not this will be good for Eklund’s development.
This is really, really dumb. Djurgården is a mess right now.

They did this to conserve his elc, nothing else. Pissing in the face of a potential future captain.

Unbelievably disappointed in Sharks management right now.

When all is said and done, I'm happy to see him back in Stockholm! We really need him in Djurgården! Sure it's a jagged pill, but I believe this will be best for his develpment, too.

Sharks hockey got a lot more boring for sure. But I don't think its exactly bad for Williams development either. Let him get stronger and dominate and try to be the MVP in a mens league. It didn't hurt Aho and Pettersson, it's not going to hurt Eklund. only positive things can come from that experience.

If it worked for Seider and Raymond, it could work for Eklund. Don't get me wrong, I thought Eklund had a real shot to make the jump into the NHL this season, but the Sharks absolutely should be patient with him. He's a really, really fun player and working on his all-round game in the SHL is not a bad thing at all. Hopefully Djurgardens lets him play big minutes and enjoy his last season on the big sheet!

Dick Axelsson i bekant kedja – William Eklund får ny roll i Djurgården

Eklund's back with Djurgården now, and is getting a new role: he'll play center. Will play between Rakhshani, & Carey(with both of them out sick he's practicing with the 04's Lekkerimäki, & Öhgren). Carey is expected to be back thursday, but not Rakhshani, so we could see Lekkerimäki on Eklund's right.

Nichlas Falk(Djurgården's head coach) says Eklund at C is "a little exciting actually, I think"
