Broberg was drafted 8th, McTavish was 3rd - there really is no comparison so don't really get where the comparison is coming from. I'm not even high on Broberg.

I think Eklund and Zegras will be similar. Eklund seems like he'll be better 2-way though, whereas Zegras will be a better playmaker.

Eklund is more comparable to Aho play style wise, just smaller and not a good of skater.

Yes I really wanted him but Murray wants another Kesler type for the playoffs.

Think mctavish is going to be a stud, but I was jumping up and down when y’all didn’t take Eklund. I’d be surprised if Eklund doesn’t turn out to be the best player in the draft.

I’d be somewhat surprised if mctavish is ever a better point producer than Eklund. He’ll hopefully add value in other ways. This will be an interesting one to evaluate over time, but I’d personally have taken Eklund. On the whole, he seems to have more offensive complexity to his game, at least right now.

Stoked for this kid! Let's see if he can keep crushing it as an 19 year old. He's obviously a natural and an extremely mentally gifted player. He has shown rare poise and confidence for a player this young and looks like he belongs in the NHL. I may be singing a different tune in 10 games but I honestly don't think I will be. If he can hang physically and / or just maintain his uncanny evasiveness while producing a decent # of points this year for the Sharks franchise will be a huge success. Otherwise he could very well be one of the top scorers in the AHL.​

Normal NHL cycle. Cant wait to be back at each others throats, just hoping no Dustin Brown events on Eklund before we get there.

Eklund's no slouch defensively by the looks of it too so the main gaps between the two going forward will probably be in regards to physicality and goalscoring.

I'm not so certain he'll be the best goal scorer but almost certainly the best playmaker. The passes he can pull off are ridiculous.
