Broberg was drafted 8th, McTavish was 3rd - there really is no comparison so don't really get where the comparison is coming from. I'm not even high on Broberg.

I think Eklund and Zegras will be similar. Eklund seems like he'll be better 2-way though, whereas Zegras will be a better playmaker.
Eklund is more comparable to Aho play style wise, just smaller and not a good of skater.

It would've been insane having them [Zegras + Eklund] on the same team so I'm glad the Ducks "pulled an Oilers" lol
Yes I really wanted him but Murray wants another Kesler type for the playoffs.

I’d be somewhat surprised if mctavish is ever a better point producer than Eklund. He’ll hopefully add value in other ways. This will be an interesting one to evaluate over time, but I’d personally have taken Eklund. On the whole, he seems to have more offensive complexity to his game, at least right now.

Stoked for this kid! Let's see if he can keep crushing it as an 19 year old. He's obviously a natural and an extremely mentally gifted player. He has shown rare poise and confidence for a player this young and looks like he belongs in the NHL. I may be singing a different tune in 10 games but I honestly don't think I will be. If he can hang physically and / or just maintain his uncanny evasiveness while producing a decent # of points this year for the Sharks franchise will be a huge success. Otherwise he could very well be one of the top scorers in the AHL.

Eklund's no slouch defensively by the looks of it too so the main gaps between the two going forward will probably be in regards to physicality and goalscoring.

I think Eklund could very well be the best goalscorer in his draft. The kid has 30+ goal potential.

No way best goal scorer. He could lead in points overall though.
