C Leo Carlsson (2023, 2nd, ANA)

He must be doing really well to be staying on the first line and the PP.

I think the Ducks could take him over Fantilli. IMO I see Carlsson as the better NHLer

agree i think longterm Carlsson will be better

they have one of the best scouts if not the best in Madden Jr ( i know he got promoted ) so woudlnt be surprised to see Ducks pick Leo over Fantilli

There’s a lot to like with his game. Already extremely strong on the puck. Doesn’t matter if he’s in traffic or not. He uses his size to separate the puck from opponents and thinks the game like a veteran. He’s been put into a position to succeed playing a lot with Berggren and Raymond, and has taken the opportunity and run with it. If there’s one area you’d like to see some improvement, it’s in transition. Sometimes he slows it done too much. That’s a very Swedish thing to do playing normally on bigger ice. Not a big deal though.
Columbus has to be very happy right now. Whether he creeps into Anaheim’s plans, we shall see. His performance should nix any thoughts of dropping past 3rd Overall though.

Was also a big part of the 3-3 tying goal, but didn't get an apple. Sweden's best player this game (and was awarded as such).

And somehow only got to play 13:46 and didn't get to play in OT.

Ofcourse not you need to have your speedy centers De la Rose and Lindholm out there with all that extra space :sarcasm:

He was on the ice for OT - jumps out at 23 seconds of this video. Sweden was already in major trouble though.

tbh idk how I missed him. Going back to re-view the whole broadcast he's pretty front and center when he was on the ice in OT (paired with Grundström, while Berggren didn't get on the ice on OT), well, except for the US having the puck.

I do think he has a higher ceiling than Fantilli. More high end offensive upside for sure.

Who knows how it will turn out, but I'd pick him over Fantilli. Now what about Carlsson vs Michkov? That's even more interesting question.

88%, if not Jarmo likes Smith 10%. Or take a risk on a winger, Michkov, when he has centerneeds. 2% on Michkov?
Vegas has it at 1.8

Which I think is a slam dunk bet so I bet it.

Also if you guys think he's going #2 you're currently getting 6.5 on it

Fantilli is 1.22 to go #2. Pretty much a lock.
