Eichel is such an amazing player. He might be a PPG player right away in the NHL. He's just so dominant in college hockey. His skill level compared to the average player he goes against isn't even close.

People don't realize how hard it is for a young Freshman to dominate College hockey like he has. The last player to do that was Paul Kariya. And we all know how he turned out.

If people want to throw around the term "generational", you might as well throw it on eichel tonight because this kid is unreal. He's taking over this game at will and every part of his game has looked almost flawless. He's got it all.

Work in the Dzone at the end of the game was awesome. Incredible instincts. Broke up a pass in the last minute it was like he had eyes in the back of his head.

Too bad the Leafs have no chance at him. He's a really special player.

That's a gross mental image.

I hope you mean figuratively.

He means literally.

Based on how the lottery odds have played out, Eichel will be going to an American franchise: 80% chance he ends up in Buffalo; and 20% in Arizona.

It's kind of lame how this matters to some people.

But is it really that surprising? I mean, why watch Olympic hockey if nationality doesn't matter even a little bit? I think it gets a little overblown sometimes, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to see a Canadien/American play (and win) in their respective country.
