I said outside the 7th round. They actually drafted Alexander Kadeykin more recently than that.It would be Alexey Marchenko in 2011.
Id also like the Wings to draft Rubtsov

Here's my next comment where I explain what I meant.
Yeah, and one of your big Euro scouts is now head of Leafs euro scouting in Vuori. When your that good, for that long people start to poach your talent. A gift and a curse.
I'm sure some people will love this right? Another career ruined?
Or maybe that mess with the U-18 made him decide it was better to come over. They seem these days to be trying to do too much to please NHL teams.
He measured in at 6 feet 0.5'' today when he was listed at 6'2''. This could impact his stock in the wrong way.
My guess is NHL teams may of told him and his agents to go to the CHL, instead of accepting whatever his KHL team was offering to try to lock him in for the next 2 to 3 years. After Guryanov this year, I don't think many teams want to leave guys in Russia where they have little control over how much ice time the guy gets. He's going to get minutes in the CHL regardless, and if they put him in the AHL they can control it. An NHL team can't really call up a KHL franchise and tell them to play their prospect more minutes for developmental purposes.I don't think that anyone who seen him play could think he is 6'2", also MHL official website lists him at 185 cm, which is something like 6'0.8" I guess, so yes, in the 6'0"-6'1" region.
Surprised by his CHL plans, just less than two monts ago he was asked about it and denied that and Vityaz team representatives stated that they had plans for him.

He is a lying liar who lies
Import draft is rarely done purely on skill. Agents have power to dictate where he goes. There are a few big names, some who teams might be able to hold on for 3 years, whereas Rubtsov I think is there 1 year max then on to the AHL. Some of the guys I'd think have a realistic chance of coming over are Eeli Tolvanen (already in the USHL) and Nico Hirshier. So will he go 1st overall in the CHL import draft?
Are there other high end names available in the import draft?

And yet he agreed to let Rubtsov go?Vityaz pesident says, Rubtsov still has 2 years left on the contract, and I doubt there is a point to go to the CHL, having a KHL contract, because he won't be able to play in the NHL anyway.

Sometimes you need to play hardball with these kids. Russian hockey managers are too pansy.
So the Central Scouting screws up the height listing (basically everyone else but them had his height correct) and Rubtsov is the one who is lying?![]()
