One of the top Swedes in a what looks like very strong 2007 class.

Son of former Panther/Flame Marcus, has Canadian citizenship through being born in Calgary when Marcus played for the Flames.

Nifty two-way player with a fairly well-rounded game. Decent skill level, good skating and plays a gritty game. Will also be able to fill his frame plenty more.

He was my favorite of the Swedish forwards. I hope they keep him at center. He made a few nice defensive plays that made me take note. When was the last smaller skilled first round right shot center from Sweden? It’s been a little while. I think he could be that.

Hat trick for him at the Hlinka-Gretzky today to clinch Bronze for the Swedes (although one goal was an empty net).

I was a big fan of his dad in Calgary and can see Eric follow the path of being a dynamic 3rd line centre. Heck I’ll even go out on a limb and say that he could be a very late first rounder with a good season in Djurgarden, seeing as teams were scrambling to take profiles such as Cole Beaudoin and Sam O’Reilly in the 20s this past year.

Nilson & Yelle made a hell ofa 3rd line for the Flames in that 04 Cup run

I am very fond of this player, think he has tons of potential, and with his attitude it's hard to not believe he can go pretty far. Should be a first round lock in my opinion.

We really do have some likeable centers this draft. Even though the talent gap from Frondell to Nilsson to Gästrin and Hillström and maybe a couple more is pretty steep, there as a lot of intelligence, effort and maturity in the middle in this age group.

Feels like a pretty underrated player imo, based on the various draft rankings I have seen. Pretty complete as a player and does most things really well. Combines a pretty decent physical game with good vision. Problem may be that he is not ELITE in any regard, but does most things well. Due to the strength of the Swedish 07's, he has until now had a rather limited role often getting third line minutes with the national team, but still always produced.

Would consider him a sure second rounder at this point and as evident by the below screenshot, he has been performing really good as of late

I have not published my December ranking yet, but he will be in my late first round. There are so many things to like about his game. He has a very good vision, great skating, good hands, he applies a lot of pressure on the carrier, and his anticipation/processing is impressive too. He is always active, finds openings and generates tons of scoring chances although his shot may be his main weakness. But he still takes a lot of high-quality shots and does not lose his confidence. He is only 157lbs iirc, but at 6'0" as a May07 it should not be an issue in a few years.

One of the most underrated players this year imo.
