Strome has certainly been very impressive, and I think he will be undervalued come draft day since he will likely be on a seperate line from McDavid, and won't have the quality of teammates and PP ice time as his fellow, non McDavid prospects. So far he's just outside of the top ten for me, but he could maybe be top-5 by draft day.

There's no way he doesn't play top pp unit alongside McDavid, he's going to be the second best player on the team and will see plenty of ice time, he may have crappy line mates at even strength, but the otters don't really have any good wingers for next season anyway.

He had concussion problems last year, so that certainly hampered his game. Glad to see he had a great Hlinka tournament - it will be fun to watch him next year.

Was kind of hoping he'd fly under the radar a bit and the Isles can snag him with either Philly's 2nd rounder or our own.

Strome sure is a bland player in terms of tools. I do like his general ability and natural pull towards the puck.

The Calm Before The Strome doesn't wow you at all with his skill-set. What makes him the player that he is is his terrific hockey IQ. Back when he was with the Marlies, his teammates called him The Professor.

Draft speak I think he is in the 10-20 range so somewhere in between like 15 makes sense.

Hoping on the band wagon early. Hoping he tears it up this year. Really want to see me succeed.

Ironic scenario: Isles barely miss playoffs; sabres select Dylan Strome with the Isles pick. Be pretty funny to see An Isles player get drafted by another team with the Isles pick.

Not to mention both the Sabres and the Isles would have a Reinhart and a Strome each. :yo:

Nice to see a prospect posting on the boards. Congrats on the Ivan Hlinka Memorial gold medal, and best of luck to you this season, Calm Before The Strome Jr.

Yes. Yes he is.

He's a top 10 lock. he has the talent, and the pedigree. Pretty much the perfect recipe to go top 10.

I like him a lot but no way is he a top 10 lock yet.

Even with a great season he could still end up outside of the top 10 just because there is so much talent this draft.

hahaha. yes, you are correct, good sir. But I just needed to type up that post, so that when he pans out, I have it in writing, and the Maple Leafs can bring me on as a part-time scout. ;)

 worst typo ever

I'm not editing that

You guys said the same thing last year. Don't make me pull up the threads.

Strome will be drafted anywhere from 8th to 15th. (Right in the Isles range)

Well Strome will NOT be available after #10 so good luck with that prognosis.

Strome with one goal and three assists in Erie's opening night 7-1 win over Saginaw. Centered the second line between big wingers Mason Marchment and Nick Betz.

That line looked really good, especially in the first period. Strome also has a heck of a shot. His goal was an absolute snipe.
