Larkin turning out be a gem of the draft.
Definitely a better player than Virtanen Nylander & Ehlers.

No about the same level. Remove Virtanen from that list as well.
Well, Larkin didn't score this period. It was great while it lasted. You think we can get a first rounder for him?

Well Larkin is on an NHL squad which had WAY more depth than Toronto so it would have been tougher to make the team.
Nylander isn't playing for the leafs
advantage Larkin
Not watching your team tonight? He's looked perfectly comfortable on a top line role. As I'm typing this, the SN commentator just said Larkin looks like he's been in the league for 10 years.
Who knows how these players end up? But as of now, the best prospect is Larkin, by a country mile.
Nah.
Larkin Nylander and Ehlers are still pretty even.
Sorry, but tonight's game has changed that. At least for the time being.
People can yap about small sample sizes all they want, it's extremely rare for a teenager (two months removed from 18) to step in and not miss a step. He's playing on an NHL 1st line with Henrik Zetterberg and is not being sheltered at all.

That's where we stand as of now for the 2014 draft, imo.

Pasternak I would put on the same level, he plays top 6 minutes and is lighting the lamp pretty regularly.

No, I just don't overreact to one game sample sizes. Will he be greeat? Sure I think so, but I don't see anything from Nylander or Ehlers that suggest they won't be great players either.
Take Nylander out as well as he's not even in the NHL yet. He still has a lot to work on.
Let's keep Nylander out of this thread. He's not in the NHL yet.
Larkin just had an outstanding debut. Comment on his play.
Yeah and so does every rookie in the NHL this year, Larkin included. This is a marathon not a sprint. No disrespect to Larkin because i really do think he will be awesome, but it takes a larger sample size to separate from the pack.
