Don’t think he makes it past Columbus at 6 either. Could even see Philly taking him at 5, although it is likely one of Jiricek or Nemec will still be there. I could see Gauthier as a great fit for either of those organizations and I think he does the things well that those clubs have traditionally valued. Big, strong and smooth with good hands and two-way upside.

I can't see him falling past 6, especially now that we know teams see him as a center. He's almost a lock to go within a pick or two after Cooley.
100% agree, His stock is rising big time. He'll go top 6 then another good player will fall. Perhaps Matthew Savoie.

If he's there at 5, Philly should pounce.
Cutter Gauthier would be the perfect fit in Philly behind both Couturier and Hayes.

I hope he's available at #10 but I highly highly doubt it at this point.

How does he compare to Mason Mctavish from last year? Both were initially seen as goal scoring wingers to start their draft years but transited to big decent skating centres with some bite to their game.

McTavish more heavy game, better in front of net. Gauthier better skater. Both deadly shots. McTavish is like Pavelski, Gauthier is more like Scheifele type IMO.
