All I see is that 195 lbs. Is he really up to that now? My, he's getting big.

I'm on board with that...another Connor v Jack matchup is always entertaining T.V. If the Otters make it as far as the 1/2 final against SSM, it should conclude somewhere around the 3rd. week of April. I wouldn't bet on the Otters taking out SSM, so it will be cutting it close, and I imagine the team will already be in Europe by that time.

Well, it sounds like whoever wins the lottery is going to be made a ridiculous offer by the Buffalo Sabres.

Jack Eichel +++

Girgensons, Zadorov, 2015 1st (approx 15-20), 2015 2nd, 2015 2nd

Wow, where did you hear/see this?

There is no proposed trade offer. However, Sabres GM Tim Murray has already said if the Sabres lose the lottery he will be first on the phone to trade for McDavid with the lottery winner.

I really hope he just relaxes and doesn't trade away our team. He is also known as very aggressive and doesn't mind "losing" a trade to get a player he wants.

As good as any offer will be, I only see one potential lottery winner capable of and wanting to make a deal of this magnitude, the New Jersey Devils. Why ?

1) Lou loves US collegiate prospects
2) Lou being Lou
3) Devils are not well stocked with young prospects

Again, this is not what I want to happen. McDavid is an amazing player but so is Eichel. I would rather have the best team than the best player.

A lot of the talk now is GM gamesmanship. Keep other GMs guessing and in the event Buffalo does win the lottery, then perhaps other GMs will inflate their trade proposals for the number 1 pick. In an interview a few weeks ago, GMTM said the difference between the 2 players is not much. This is just par for the course, straight out of the GM handbook, chapter 1.

I hope so. As much as I hate the idea of trading up a spot I would love for Arizona to offer us the moon to trade for McDavid if Buffalo won the lottery.

They could use McDavid to save hockey in the desert and the Sabres would get Eichel +++.

Eichel + your best 3 prospects or 2 best prospects + 2015 1st.

They are BOTH amazing talents that will form the cornerstone up the middle for any franchise for the next decade. Connor definitely has more flair and although I would make him my number 1 pick every day, I would be ecstatic to pick Eichel and not feel in anyway that he is a consolation 'prize', a term that implies he is much lesser, which I do not believe he is.

Those offers are ridiculous. No GM in their right mind would add that much to Eichel to get McDavid. Eichel is elite.

Sportsnet is clueless, that's two straight games they are covering the Pete's vs Oshawa. Do they even realize who Connor Mcdavid is? They should literally have every Erie playoff game on TV, isn't ratings how they make their money?

Bingo. It was odd when Sakic came out before the draft declaring Colorado was to pick Mackinnon over Jones. GM's didn't believe it until draft day.

I don't know how.. but some posters are actually jealous of Edmonton.

I can understand why... Do you imagine their top 6 in 2 years?
Imagine if they pick 1st: McDavid.
Then 2nd: Eichel
Then 4th (with the assumption Hanifin goes 3rd): Strom/Marner

Hall
RNH
Eberle
Yak
LD
2015 1st rounder

disgusting, disgusting top 6. That offensive potential is godlike.
