5on5 was fine. They came out in the first with the right energy, and were composed enough to play next to Florida's speed. Special teams did us in. Both with the shorthanded goals, and not being able to muster a goal ourselves

It was an improvement on last season where they straight up ran circles around us at even strength. Take away that disastrous PP and it might well have been a 2-1 or 3-1 win with ENG.

Backup goalie walked into Amalie and the Panthers took us out. 2 shorties, on the same PP? Seriously?

Bolts are better this year, no question. I think this is a good team. But 0-3 against the Leafs and Panthers with JJ looming in Sunrise tomorrow. How’s that gonna go?

Bolts have to go through atleast one, but likely both these teams in the playoffs to reach the conference finals. Can they? Seems unlikely

It's been 3 games. Very realistic they can beat at least one of them, and possibly both. Tampa can also improve via trade. They are very much a contender.

I would also have JJ on a very short leash tomorrow, as while another loss ultimately won't mean that much, I'm sure the team would like their best chance at 2 points out of this 2 game set.

Right now? No. I'm solid on that. Florida neutralizes Kuch. They know what to do. This isn't a one off. This is for a while now.

Need to figure it out

It's a shame we gave the game away after an entertaining first period, which was essentially a draw.

Vasy's blank stare while Greer gathered the rebound and shot it past him is a new type of head scratcher from him.

I liked Cooper's decision to move Kucherov to the Hagel-Cirelli line and Paul to the Point line with Guentzel. Not much was happening for Kucherov, so putting him and Point on two different lines made it a little harder for Florida than just throwing all their top defensive players out again our top line.

We looked like we might actually be on their level this year, even without Moser, until again, we gave the game away. But we also had the advantage of putting our lines our last. It will be interesting to see how we do next game when FL has that advantage.

The best thing I can say for this game was somehow Geekie didn't break anything after that terrible crash to the boards.

Coming in incredibly late...

I've never seen a player check himself, toe pick, get tripped, barrel roll, and tumble as much as Geekie. Hell of a game to forget by him. Growing pains and maybe some actual pain but he needs to hit the weights and fill out his frame ASAP. He was flailing around like he was riding a mechanical bull out there. I'm so glad he wasn't hurt in this game cause he had two horrible end board crashes that could've resulted in a break of some sort.

That aside, we looked much better against them than last year. Lilleberg ain't it at the moment. I like him, but high IQ teams absolutely expose him. He has Sergachev Syndrome where he thinks he has time and coughs it up. He did it three consecutive shifts then it looked like he got benched at one point. He looked like shit and that's being kind.

Cant say much about the two SHGs other than like $15M combined handing Florida two goals. Vasy.exe stopped working and Selkerelli trying to hotdog PK1 as the puck carrier was Forest Gump levels of stupidity. Mental mistakes cost us from at least getting one point.

Please beat these bastard pricks tomorrow.

Vasy can't give up a freebie like that in a game like this and then Cirelli compounded that by being a f***ing idiot. That was the difference. Other than that, we looked fine.
