OHL scoring race:

Mitchell Marner - 124
Dylan Strome - 121
Connor McDavid - 118

Marner has 1 more game while Strome/McDavid have 2 more games.

Doubtful that McDavid can pass Marner, but Strome has a good chance. All depends on how Marner does tomorrow night. Either way, it's insane how far ahead McDavid is compared to everyone else in this draft. Guy missed nearly 1/3rd of the season and is still in the race for most points.

Quick update...Marner in their last game put up 2 points bringing him to 126.

Marner - 126
Strome - 121
McDavid - 118

Erie has 2 games remaining. Good chances Strome can take the lead or at least tie. McDavid needs 8 points in 2 games to tie. Very unlikely but he of all players could pull it off.

Excited to see if he/Strome can catch Marner. All eyes on the scoreboard tomorrow.

My money is on McDavid getting 9 points in 2 games. But if he doesn't put up a big game today (4 or 5 pts) then perhaps he doesn't even play tomorrow. I think if I were the coach, I'd be more interested in getting him rested and focused for the 1st. rd. but if he's got a shot, then you got to let him go for it. It would be a story if he could pull that off.

I came all the way up from Jersey to see McDavid play tomorrow (and the Ice Dogs tonight as well) so that would really be shame if he didn't play for my part, but Im almost positive he will be playing Sunday.

It would be a shame. I hope he plays both games. Lucky you to be taking in both games live. Enjoy!

Very much appreciate it! Been waiting for these games for months. I will be posting updates!

As I'll be occupied this evening with a family event, I'll look forward to your updates. but I'll be watching tomorrow. So, I hope he plays as well. I've seen him play a lot over the past 3 years in the OHL and he's never disappointed. The first time I saw him play he was still 14 in the GTHL when I just happened to be in T.O. on a layover and after dinner friends suggested we go check this kid out. My jaw was pretty much on the floor the entire time.

Strome from McDavid just now.

Marner - 126
Strome - 122
McDavid - 120

1.75 periods left in game today.

edit: McDavid just scored, no assist to Strome. 2-0 now.

Doesn't McDavid take himself out of scoring race if he's gets points with Strome?

It's between Marner or Strome.

120 points in 47 games, just incredible, unreal. would have easily won the scoring title have he not miss 15 games.

Finished the season with 2 points, Congrats to Marner an incredible season for him as well.

2015 1st overall pick, Connor Mcdavid. the next great player in the NHL. Can't wait to see this guy in the NHL next year, whatever team he is on.

Unless McDavid is scratched tomorrow, his season isn't over yet.

1 game remaining before the real show begins. I'd like to see the Otters go on a deep run to the Mem Cup, but I don't have much faith in their goaltending for that to happen. If they do get bounced, I just hope it is in time for McDavid to jet off to Europe and play one more head to head v Jack...before the opening game of the NHL sched. next fall.

Interesting to see if Team Canada would invite him to the WHC...when and who was the last draft eligible prospect invited?
I can see Eichel playing for the U.S as they have a history of inviting elite college players to the tournament, although I'm not sure if any of them were as young as Eichel.

CBJ D-man Ryan Murray. He played a few games before being drafted.

Towes played after being drafted, but still a NCAA player.
