What Do You Think McDavid's Prospect Score Will Be?

Currently, the highest score belongs to Jonathan Drouin, with a 9.0 C, but what do you suppose McDavid will get? My best guess says that it will be something insane, like 9.5 B, but what's your take on it?

Maybe at the start, but they have been known to change. For instance, when Nikita Zadorov was drafted, he was a 7.5 C, and now he's an 8.0 B. McDavid might start at 9.0 B, but then have a prodigious Calder winning rookie year and his score gets a boost.

The way I understand it is anyone NHL unproven gets a C, that's just the way it is. They can quickly get upgraded to a B and then by the time they'd go higher they aren't a prospect anymore anyway. I'd guess 9.5C, which is probably the highest these prospect grades would ever go.

Was hoping he'd have a big night and push this scoring race to the final weekend...but oh well, now looking forward to seeing how deep the Otters can take it into the POs.
but for now, I'm sure we'll get the sparkling, insightful Sesame Street analysis from the HF illuminati, a shift by shift account of how the streak was stopped. That's always a good chuckle.

Connor's a one trick pony and teams are finally figuring him out. Still a good prospect but not as great as the hype.

And what would that 'one trick' be?

Going wide with speed...

It really don't matter as he won't do anything special in the NHL..

Number of 50g, 120p seasons will be slim to none....but excuses will be flying..

Once he has his rookie season he'll no longer be a prospect. He's only going to appear in the spring and fall rankings, then that'll be the end of that. What's the highest anyone's had in recent years, 8.5 or is it 8.0? To me he's got to at least be a 9.0 in upside. Maybe something like 9.5C or 9.0B.

Crosby was a 10C, Ovechkin was a 9A i believe.

I would think it needs to mirror sid

10C makes sense then, though I think the internal scale has changed a lot since then.

Has the same tools as Datysuk with more speed. Didn't stop him from being elite.

You know that a player can be special without putting up 50 goals and 120 points every season, right?

I wouldn't bother trying to argue with him If I were you. In another thread he attempted to talk trash about Lidstrom, but couldn't even spell his name right.

Seems like you've set the bar pretty high...

Only Crosby has had 120 points in the last 8 seasons, so a number of those seasons would be pretty average.
