Uh yeah. He looks leagues ahead of RNH and Eberle. Pretty terrifying to see where he might be in two years.
well... lets not kid ourselves... hes looks a million times better than* any current oiler... they weren't 3rd last for a reason.
anyways, he will be I believe one of the top players in the leauge next year. book it. kid is unreal. I hope he doesn't get injured. It will be unfortunate.

FIFY. And please calm it with the hyperbole, it completely discredits anything else you say.
Anyhow, McDavid has played AHL-competition and while the hype is real - he has NOT been Oilers best forward in preseason and nowhere millions times better (LOL). I think Draisaitl and Lander have been the best performers then the top-line of Pouliot-RNH-Eberle.
Against bigger NHL defenders, I do think McJesus will struggle a bit. No doubt he will put up serious points but probably less than Hall/Ebs/RNH this season.
which games have you been watching?
McDavid has played 2 pre season games, and it's pretty unanimous that the Slepyshev-McDavid-Draisaitl line outperformed the Pou-RNH-Eberle line in the MIN game. 2 assists in the other one and was flying. I don't understand this comment at all.

So McDavid hasn't been playing great and has 4 points in 2 games? It's going to be scary when he gets more comfortable and plays to his potential.

It's gonna be a good race, but I could care less as long as Oilers as a team out play Buffalo in standings.
Can we officially mark this as the first "shot fired" between the future Sabres vs Oilers rivalry that will surely happen when the careers of McDavid vs Eichel really take off? Up to this point I don't think the fanbases really have been that hostile towards each other. It's usually just a McDavid vs Eichel debate without the rest of the team mentioned.

I don't count that as a hostile post. It's basically saying "I'd rather Edmonton be better than Buffalo than McDavid be better than Eichel". I'm sure everyone on both sides feels the same way; we care more about the team than a particular player doing well.

I dont think Buffalo vs Edmonton or McDavid vs Eichel will ever be much of rivarly. Different countries, different divsions. I actually like what Buffalo is doing alot and hope to see them make noise too. I also hope to see Eichel dominate the NHL like I think he can
Unless they see eachother in the cup finals, there wont be much hostility.
But the Oilers are still determined to draft Auston Matthews.
*trades Eichel to Calgary*
I probably should've put the sarcasm face in my post...
