On quite the heater - 12 goals, 15 assists in his last 12 games. He’s not McDavid, but he’s damn good, excellent to elite at basically everything but being big. And the way he bears down on defenders at full speed, while still being completely in control and crazy elusive, almost undefendable 1-on-1 in transition, very McDavid-like.

That’s a really tough question! He doesn’t have Matthews’ size or Stamkos’ one-timer. I would almost say McDavid but there are several enormous differences in their games. If we move beyond current players, maybe Sakic? That’s imperfect as well, though.

I really hoping that Gorton and Hughes make big moves with MTL, trade for picks and prospect, be bad next year too. That would be the best day of my life if Habs pick #1 next year and draft this stud.

As someone who watched a tonne of Sakic-era Avs games growing up, Sakic is actually a pretty good comp. Obviously every player is different, Bedard will be Bedard, but there are a tonne of similarities between the two.

This comp is out of left field but I see some Phil Kessel in Bedard’s offensive game.

Not sure why that bothers posters. Just because someone on HF does not like him, it won't change anything.

Besides, the same poster (NOT directed at anyone - just in general) who runs Bedard down, would praise Bedard if he played for their country. People see what they want to see.
