Kevyn needs to have the rest of a full NHL offseason for the first time in his life, for sure.

we have guys on this team that are going to do just fine in Peterka's deployment IMO. They might not be as good as him offensively, but we got better at the other end of the ice with this move.

I still need to see 5 more moves like everyone else, and some of them need to slant our way value wise

I think the team definitely filled a gaping hole that might yield better returns in the short term but I’m not sure that we’ll look at this in 5 years and be happy with it

I like Peterka a lot more than most people here apparently but I think they’ll miss him less with whoever they get to replace than they’d miss having no RHD worth a damn

They HAVE to drastically change the makeup of this team and JJ was the obvious piece to trade.

At the very least they’re targeting the right type of players. Idk if the value is there or not and at this point I don’t particular care. Get shit done. Now! Same thing I said about the McLeod trade. Hopefully this one works out the same way. I’d be shocked if this doesn’t make us a better team in the long run.

That’s what I’ve been saying was happening all along. Terry won’t pay the bonuses in an offer sheet so he wouldn’t have matched. It was this or a few picks via offer sheet return.

I am totally fine with this return, but I understand the folks who are pissed off. Something like this should have been done two years ago.
