C Connor Bedard - Regina Pats, WHL (2023 Draft) Part 2

Bedard will look a lot like Sakic when he makes the NHL I believe, and that's not just the Vancouver angle.

Visually, the player he reminds me of most is actually Jack Eichel. The way he cinches up at the top of the stick, kicks his legs out and whips his shot, the casual explosiveness and fludity of his movements and skating stride.

Seems like he’s going to have a Crosby like build once he fully matures.

for being on the smaller side (currently) he looks to have a pretty solid build and still developing and growing. looks to me like Sid at 15/16 years old.

I'm a little confused as to Matt Wood being at Pats camp....isn't he committed to NCAA UConn? Somebody want to fill me in here?

if hes committed to NCAA, he can still attend Pats training camp. He just cant play any exhibition games. He is most likely only attending camp for the ice time... ORRRR hes having second thoughts and wants to play in Regina now to be able to suit up with a player like Bedard

Many NCAA committed kids go to WHL camps every year.... but many NCAA committed kids dont have an opportunity to be able to play with a kid like Bedard. Will be very interesting to see what happens

I wouldn't risk anything like that with Bedard either. No point at all dressing him in a game like that. Leave it for those kids trying to get those last couple spots to make the team
