Wow I just looked at the Blackhawks roster and no wonder they're bad. I don't even recognize 3/4 of their players.

Was hoping for Anaheim but at least we'll see a generational talent on an Original 6 team for the first time. Now all that's left is to draft/sign a supporting cast around him

They’re an AHL team whose only prospects worth anything are realistically 3+ years away from being an impact player. When Bedard scores 50 points next year while struggling with being forced into the 1C role and smothered by every team playing with Athanasiou and whatever washed up veteran the Hawks sign for the other wing and getting feeds from the corpse of Jones and whatever 6D they play beside him, this thread will be unbearable.

Aside from the obvious ethical problems with Chicago, that team went full scorched earth and is completely devoid of talent.

Who's Bedard centering next year? Taylor Raddysh and Tyler Johnson?

Just brutal.

Chicago is in worse shape right now than when Edmonton got McDavid. And it took Edmonton several years to get it together with McDavid.

For Bedard's career, he went to the worst possible spot. He will be fed to the wolves as a #1 C there.

Anaheim or Columbus would have been way better for his career.

TB nodding, duh... how else do you make 3 SCF appearances.

Chicago is in worse shape right now than when Edmonton got McDavid. And it took Edmonton several years to get it together with McDavid.

For Bedard's career, he went to the worst possible spot. They should have kept Toees instead of now having to feed Bedard to the wolves as a #1 C.
I imagine he is retiring or is basically done. Maybe a 1 year contract, and then out of the league.
