Next Jordan Schroeder or Gaudreau. ?

This is where the gamble is for drafting a small dynamic player who he is behind the 8 ball when he starts playing w. Men.

I love this kid. I will probably have him higher on my draft list than others. He is one of the better smaller players that is draft eligible in recent years from what I have seen of him. Terrific skater.

I'm a huge fan of Keller, someone is going to get an absolute steal in the mid-late first this summer. Parise type of player.

Haven't really seen any recent highlights or footage of him. How does he compare skill wise to A. Nylander?

Two different players but both highly-skilled offensive talents with an aresenal of ways to beat you. There's a collection of youtube highlights on the story I posted.

I know I'm dating myself, but he reminds me of former Habs great Mats Naslund but with more physicality. Keller doesn't shy away from hard work. In that regard he's exactly like Parise (and shooting skills as well)

One of my favourites in the upcoming draft. The upside is just massive with him. His stock is generally increasing, yet he's still quite over the place in draft rankings. It'll definitely be interesting to see where he's picked.

Watched the game video of Kieffer Bellows that's up on youtube. Ended up being way more impressed with Clayton Keller. What a player. All that skill, IQ, and shiftiness in a honey badger who doesn't take a shift off. I'd like to see more of him, of course, but as of now I'm a fan.

He seems intriguing now if a couple of USNDP fans can help me

1. What's the gap between him and Matthews so far, I see that he's played for two teams the USNTDP Juniors and the U.S. National U18 Team which league is he closing in on Matthews record? Also compared to Eichel.

2. So far can he project to be a #1C in the NHL

3. Whats his ETA to the NHL

4. I've seen comparbles to naslaund, Kane, gilmour but are either of them accurate

5. How is he defensively, is he a selke esc type player or is he closer to that of a Art ross.

And finally is he set on attending Boston or his he going to change his mind and play in the OHL.

I apologize its just I've become intrigued as the sens could use a high end center and while we have been sucking of late we do need a #1C. Right now the sens would draft 7th overall.

Keller is gonna be a stud. Supremely skilled plus stong compete. If he goes in the late teens some team is going to be getting a gem. Anything after top 10 is justifiable to me.

I'd take him in the top 10 if it was up to me. If he's available at Pittsburgh's pick, I hope to god Toronto takes him

Last season Keller scored 59 points in 45 games for the NTDP U17s before being promoted to the U18s where he added 23 in 16 games, including 4-5-9 in the World U18 tournament. So last year’s total was 82. This season he just hit 80 points for the U18s making him just the second NTDP player with two 80-points seasons (the other was Kessel). He and linemate Kieffer Bellows have combined for 140 points this year.

Keller has said he tries to emulate Patrick Kane, while several evaluators compare him favorably with Zach Parise.

In November, Keller, along with NTDP teammates Chad Krys, Jake Oettinger and Bellows, signed their national letters of intent to play at BU. This effectively ends any other college recruiting efforts. I’d expect Windsor will keep after him until he begins summer school at BU in July and probably after that.

Thanks I was wondering whats his ETA to the NHL and while matthews is probably the better prospect how large is the gap between the two.

I'll try to resist the Patrick Kane comparisons. But this kid does remind me of Kane more than any other prospect I have seen in years. Actually I said the same thing last summer. ;)

I'm hoping Montreal grabs McLeod with their high first and move up with their early two 2nds (ours and Minnesota) to grab Keller. Galchenyuk can stay on the wing.

Seen a bit of him and he will likely tear up NCAA maybe not in his first year to the point of Connor but over ppg.
