I see. I didn't see anything official so thanks for clearing that up . Yeah some imports are hit or miss , Geci couldn't quite cut it in his CHL time it seems. I would suspect he goes to a lesser North American junior league below CHL or back to Europe now
I literally found out the same way you did, only I noticed a couple weeks ago. Noticed he was missing from the roster when they acquired Linklater. Nothing much was said at all.

He will probably return to slovan Bratislava’s u20 team.

Geci is a very popular Albanian last name. I wonder if he is albanian decent...

Given the first name, I'd be surprised. Albanians do not give Christian first names.

Czechia and Slovakia are Geci's second home.

It must be like Camara. An African name that is also an Italian name.

Lol lots albanias have Christian names. My brother does
Perhaps in a North American context where there would be a process of assimilation or recovery of expelled non-Muslim populations, but in Europe, the context is different. In France and Switzerland, I have never seen any.

Regarding the player, I think it's a Slovak surname. I find it hard to imagine such massive Albanian immigration to Slovakia before entering the E.U.

It can sound Czech & Slovak. Koci is for example a common name.
