I used to rock a Pooh Bear avatar but folks here didn't like that, so I decided to rock the light switch in reference to previous Bruins teams giving inconsistent effort but being able to "flip the switch" so to speak whenever they wanted. Switch will go on when they win the cup.

My GF at the time walked in and said " what's Vedder ranting about this time? " And thus, VeddarRants was born ( complete with unintentional misspelling of the last name ).

I changed my name to PB37 a few years back because like everyone else, I love the man and player.

Reminds me of a pair of brothers I knew in HS.

The older one beared a resemblance to Val Kilmer and ended up with the nickname “Ice Man”….two years later along came his younger brother and one of the older brothers friends dubbed him:

Mine is lame however. First inital of first name. First three letters of last name. Pronounced "Jay-Crow."

Comes from hockey and hockey with family though. They just randomly started calling me it growing up and now everyone through those connections knows it more than my first name lol.

Sometimes it was a good play. Other times it was maddeningly frustrating because what we really wanted was a slap shot (especially when the shot blockers were Habs).

Regardless, it left an impression and I can’t part with it despite Z’s Bruins days being years passed at this point.

1989 Midnight beer league game, I took several shots on one shift with no goals to show for it. Next shift 3 shots and a goal. A guy on my team called me "Strafer" said I was strafing the other net.
Of course, when most of both teams (except the poor goalies) were drinking beers and I'm sipping a Pepsi on the bench in between shifts, it wasn't a fair thing.
The nickname stuck for the rest of the season, since I wasn't very good.
The next handle of "Gordoff" is because, obviously my first name is Gordon, but my uncles, clever old dudes that they were called me "Gordoff" instead.

Mine is from what is still my favorite regular season B's game of all time. November 1989, B's down 2-0 at home to the Habs, and came back to win. Fred Cusick had the iconic "Ludwig Fell Down" call on Wesley's goal, and that stuck with me.
