Kreider deserves special recognition. Not only the scoring but he’s just flat out doing his job. He’s filling his PP role, he’s PKing for the first time in the NHL (doing it well too), he’s been great on the forecheck - he’s been carrying play for his line with Mika looking horrible.

All the off-season talk about Kreider needing to be on the 3rd line and traded soon and all he’s done is play some of the best hockey of his career. He looks excellent.

The Kreider I've been waiting for since his rookie season.

Does it annoy anyone that Gallant said "coach's decision" when it comes to Georgiev? It might be more of a sign that he didn't answer than anything. Maybe if he answered honestly he'd say something not entirely coach speak like?

for all we know it was allaires decision and he protected him. That would be a coaches decision and it was the wrong one

After watching it again. Mika sat there doing nothing when it was 3v2 on the boards. Somehow Kreider still won it but it's a bad look.

Gallant probably sees what we see. His effort is not there. His skating is not there.

Panarin watched video and corrected it. Chytil watched video and corrected it. I'm assuming Gallant showed them. I'm assuming Gallant showed Zibs too and he has yet to correct it.

Usually you are an easy read. Tonight you are way too cryptic.
Could you please dumb it down for us Plebs?

They asked him why he put Igor in and instead of giving an answer he said "coach's decision". My question is did he say it to avoid throwing Georgiev under the bus? And as a follow up if he did do that I wonder if that's a bad sign for Georgiev. I almost feel like while coaches don't tend to throw their players under the bus, if they're good players they sometimes say they could play better (and I think Gallant has done that). I wonder if he didn't do that because there was no message to send since he's about to go to Hartford.

Gallant f***ed up by dressing Tinordi and playing Geo. But he totally redeemed himself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a coach bench a goalie in a tie game without a crazy score. Tinordi under 12 min and Nemeth under 15 while the top 4 were all over 20 in TOI, is exactly the way a coach should manage this game. Holding players accountable is a breath of fresh air.

It wasn't a tie game but I remember very early on in Lundqvist's career, likely in his rookie year there was a game I want to say against Atlanta where we were down and Weekes played, Renney put Lundqvist in the net and we came back and won in the third and Lundqvist didn't allow a goal.

Damn
Couldnt watch a great game
F'ing Disney...
Laf's score sheet looks invisible
How did he play?

It's nice to know we have a very good young 1-4 d and most likely even 1-6 for hopefully the next 7-8 years.

I feel so at ease when our top 4 is out there but even more Miller and Trouba I feel like. Those guys may be a better defensive pair than Fox-Lindgren this year, not accounting for quality of competition.
