Per the Buffalo GDT, Hecht has been scratched for Scott. Looks like he's real salty about it too.:laugh: Guess I don't blame him.

We've already played John Scott last year when he was on the Rangers. A non-factor I must say.

I could have sworn I saw earlier Scott was playing, glad I wasn't misremembering.

If Clarkson has to go after Ott or Scott after they throw a cheapshot because we have nobody else that can/will do it I'll pitch a tent. Kostopolus please, he's not a heavyweight.
 
What I really fear is that the Devils will win and then Fayne and Larsson will continue to be scratched. That would infuriate me. Which is why I don't even want us to win. Like I said it's a lose lose situation in my opinion.

It's not like they haven't changed winning lineups before though. I can't worry about that, this is getting to be life and death right now. Besides, A) I don't think they're winning with a shot Moose anyway. B) It's not like a loss is going to automatically cause Pete to change his lineup again.

Dare I say this. As much of an idiot as he was, John Maclean actually gave Mike Mckenna a start in St Louis once. Maybe he did play a couple NHL games somewhere else? He actually did pretty good that game, and it was one of our better games during his coaching tenure. I think we only lost because of some BS goal that should have been waived off. John Maclean is not a coach you wanna model yourself after by the way. Just not sure why Pete keeps going back to the Moose.

So if DeBoer's lineup wins you will be infuriated because your fav boys are not playing, and you would rather have the team lose? I can't respect that thinking.

McKenna already had a couple starts/games in Tampa a few years back.
He was the one that Ovi scored the 'hot stick' 50th goal or whatever that was against.

He also was from St. Louis and his grandfather was an off-ice official and some other family history. I think it we had a game on the Island (where Kinkaid is from) or he didn't have such a future in front of him, it would be different. But that is what it is... That very much probably was McKenna's only shot to play in St. Louis in the NHL.

It disturbs me how whenever I see hockey on mainstream TV the goalie pads are always on backwards... Even in this show, it's uncle Joey or whatever supposedly Canadian and a hockey fan? Would he notice the pads?

I do see what you're saying, not that I wanna lose but I do see what you're saying.

I'm afraid if Moose has a good game but stinks in Carolina, Pete will go right back to him against the Jets. The Jets who have already beaten him twice this year. Not to mention 6 games in 8 nights for him.

Maybe the bigger mistake would be attributing that win to them being out of the lineup? Just like it's absurd that the two of them seemingly sit as a collective scapegoat for these losses

They're not my "fav boys", they're obviously 2 of the best defensemen on the team and not the reason we're losing. If we win it'll be pure coincidence. I don't care if you respect my thinking, that's just how I feel.

I forgot he was from St Louis. I still think Kinkaid earned a start. If he stunk then he stunk, but Moose just isn't capable of playing all these games. The offense is not helping him out anyway.

That's why I said with Marty we could have gotten points in a couple of those games. After that though it would have been up to the team to not take any penalties in OT, and try to win the game there. I'm no longer confident in this teams ability to win a shootout anymore. Not because of the goaltenders though. It doesn't matter who's in the net. It's the shooters I have no confidence in.
 
According to ESPN, Lou announced that Marty is out at least 3 more games with a sore back :(

They are not scapegoats, I don't think Pete thinks that for a second. And I don't know why people are shocked that Larsson is scratched, he has looked tentative for a while now.

I want Devils to win no matter who's in the lineup, and I will never understand how one can watch a Devils game hoping for a loss. That's all.
