i'm not even worrying about what deboer is doing anymore. as long as our top guys aren't producing, you really can't blame the losses on who's on our bottom line or 2nd pairing or whatever. everyone needs to step up, and if it take scratching some guys that you wouldn't expect to be scratched to light a fire, then so be it.

I want to see Larsson on the PP as well. But, one thing to consider is the combo of Kovy and Larsson. Kovalchuk occupies a point spot but also drifts quite low, sometimes below the hash marks, and the player opposite him on the other boards is usually Elias. With Kovy down low, and Elias not being too quick, Larsson's current lack of footspeed in his first few steps would potentially lead to a ton of shorthanded chances.

Not that Zidlicky is faster.
