I usually don't comment much in GDTs but awesome GDT OP! Salt on slug lmao!

I have a feeling this game will be a grind with a pissed of Devils squad grinding the slugs down.
 
No Larsson??? That makes absolutely no sense. He's been our best defenseman by far this year. The only guy who really challenges him for that spot has been Greene, who Larsson has great chemistry with. And Fayne has probably been our third best defenseman, so I don't know why he's out. Based on the way they've played as of late, after Greene our best 2 d-men are probably Zids and Tallinder. If we wanted to get Harrold in the lineup, why not sit Salvador or Volch.
 
John Scott with the hat trick, Steve Ott with seven assists in an 8-1 Devils loss. Volchenkov with the lone goal. DeBoer proceeds to have him shoot first in all subsequent shootouts this season.

larsson’s been playing well, but lets not pretend we don’t need a little more offense out of him. he’s gotten 3 points in 18 games, none of those points being a goal. only 10 SOG? fayne has 12 more shots in the same number of games. I love the guy, and probably wouldn’t have benched him for tonight, but im not going to pretend larsson’s untouchable. I notice him getting rocked more often during a game than I notice him creatively getting the puck on goal.
 
Bottom line is Harrold plays harder than all of our dmen ever have the last 2 seasons. He has BALLS, he's not afraid and he rushes the puck. he's a real man. I love Harrold and I'm pissed he's not a regular.

That being said, Larsson is going to be awesome, when he gets faster and plays like a man. He's very careful with his play and he's nifty, he has skill but he's lacking the killer instinct....still. Watch what Harrold does tonight, he's gonna be the best guy on ice.
 
If Harrold is the best guy on the ice tonight we're going to lose.
 
Time to make Enroth look like Miller.

This team makes any backup into a Vezina finalist right now.

He does need to get his shot through more. But if you notice him getting hit more than passing than I'm sorry.

He also has 8 higher +/- than Salvador.

Bottom line is that our top defending pair just got broken up. Although Harrold on the PP to remove Greene from it is good news.
 
Extremely disappointed with the line-up changes made to the defense. Larsson should not be sitting again.

I don’t, I don’t. let me clarify (and I should’ve said this). his outlet passes keep him in the a-ok list with me. just wishing he had that next step…which makes me worry that maybe we rushed him…which makes me think that he’s still ridiculously young, and he’ll get better…which makes me take a hard poo and smell colors.
 
I'm a little scared that Enroth is starting. This team seems to not take backup goalies very seriously at all. This isn't even a newer trend either, but something that goes back quite a few years. Enroth has been horrible in the 2 games he's played this year, I've seen them. Enroth is a joke, this team is a bigger joke if it can't get 4 past him.

Ron Rolston is giving us this win with Jhonas frickin Enroth in his net. Miller has started like 16 straight.
 
Larsson had like 3 or 4 shots in one sequence last game.

I remember rookie Larsson shooting a lot more and throwing his body around a lot more. I also remember Larsson giving up several breakaways and getting coned a lot more.

I guarantee he's being instructed by Stevens to make the safe play and as he grows more comfortable into an NHL d-man, he will start taking more risks. Smarter risks at that.
 
Sporting my Marty jersey, gunna be watching the game. I'm getting psyched. Maybe this will throw things off.
I've been down with the past few games even before they started.
Some positive light was shown at the end of last game. Probably our "best" third period in a while.

Ugh.

Larsson out? Fayne too? Why not Zidlicky? I really can't say Tallinder should be out. He's been one of our best defensemen since he's been back in the lineup, and one of the best things about the team all around.

This really shows you Pete takes it harder on the young guys. I think this is proof. Wouldn't start Kinkaid, Larsson was the first person to get scratched this year on D, Fayne, and Larsson are the only guys minus Tallinder to get scratched two different times now. This 8 defensemen thing is BS! It's really become a joke now.
 
One of my biggest fear right now is becoming the Islanders Post-Marty and Post-Lou. I don't know why I'm saying that at this moment, but I'm saying it.
 
Sens fan, just a question about your tending.

Guys im confused, I thought for sure Kinkaid would be in net tonight. Why is Hedberg still starting?
