At this point it wouldn't surprise with if the league intervenes under the table and gets a certified old boys club member to be the GM and another old boy coach.

Vancouver fans thought that Aquaman was awful and now he looks like a genius

Pegula's not selling, so you'd hope he realizes he has to run the Sabres more like the Bills and has a moment like Aquillini

Hire the right people and leave matters to them

Ruff is interesting

He was seen as a coach that peaked years ago then randomly had a really good year in New Jersey

Now that year looks like such an anomaly

Ruff is far from the problem. I don't think any coach really makes a difference in this situation.

Also Adams didn't let him pick his own assistants. It's literally all the guys from the previous HC.

So funny how Jason Botterill was given like 5 minutes and he was fired but Kevyn Adams can just coast after trading Eichel, Mittelstadt and making the team worse than it was in 2020. Granted Botts did deserve to get fired just for hiring Ralph Krueger, but still.

2020 Sabres: Eichel, Reinhart, Dahlin, Thompson, Montour, Mittelstadt, Rodrigues. The core WAS ALL THERE. They just needed a real coach and to spend on some role players.

Kevyn Adams will have been Sabres GM for 5 years in June. He's gone through 3 coaches and traded away players like Eichel, Reinhart, Montour without significant improvement to the team. How he still has a job is beyond me.
The fact that he even made it to adulthood with the first name Kevyn is proof enough that he's defying the law of averages.

Until Pegula steps back the team is done. Buffalo needs a hockey guy for president of operations.

It's odd how NFL Pegula is significantly more well-regarded than NHL Pegula. Product aside, I can't remember negative national news about him wrt the Bills.
He fell into good front office hires there. He also made the Rex Ryan hire when he first bought the team which screams like a lot of his Sabres moves.

Well he did train extensively in aggressive home defense at a young age......
