Are you guys dressing enough "veterans" with that lineup? Eyeballing it, I only see five of the required eight in Eller, Prust, McCarron, Drewiske and Budaj. Maybe there's some other rule that qualifies Diaz, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, etc? Conversely, Buffalo has 13 "veterans" dressed. Their other seven players each have AHL experience, with six of those seven having played at least one NHL game last season. That is quite an experience gap.

McCaron was drafted this summer by the Habs.

I think if they're over a certain age, they qualify as veterans. So guys like Lashoff, Diaz and St. Pierre would count toward the 8.

I'm not 100% sure though, interesting question.

CAN'T WAIT!!!! :handclap:

I think we might see fireworks from Prust, McCarron and Tinordi because Buffalo have all their "tough" guys in Ott, Kaleta, McCormick, Scott, Gillies.

Scott isn't playing. And Gillies isn't exactly a prolific fighter.

Including goalies, that list is 28 players for Buffalo. 8 of those forwards/d won't be in the game. I imagine Scott will be one of those NOT in uniform.

A lot of Buffalo's top prospects are likely to play and that's an added bonus to see them play.

I think it'll be more about the youngsters keeping their head up, as Ott, Girgensons, Kaleta and Zadorov will no doubt finish their checks when the opportunity presents itself.

When Kaleta ran Pyatt and was subsequently pounded by O'Byrne, that was in preseason, right?

I won't lie, I'm pretty pumped to see Larsson, Ristolainen and Zadorov.

On the habs side, Pateryn has been hitting everything that moves. McCarron has been trying to do the same. Tinordi will level people and at camp, Nygren has been stepping up.

Game might as well be titled "Keep yo ****in' head up.", or "Lindros not allowed"

All pre-season games being shown by RDS this year. :)

I'm out for the game :(
Ball hockey game tonight.

Calling Videotron to get a PVR, only based on the fact I might miss a preseason game or two? Only in Montreal.

But I still won't be able to record tonight's game :(

Hockeystreams.com usually archives all their games, and they're streaming MTL/BUF tonight. Should be available not long after the game finishes.

You could sign up for the free 24-hour preview and watch it there.
