Beasley and Brown career stats combined:
534 receptions, 6501 yards, 45 touchdowns

Anderson and Crowder:
376 receptions, 4908 yards, 29 touchdowns

Granted, Beasley and Brown have more years in the league... but that's exactly what makes their track records more established. Crowder and Anderson are both still largely unproven (though arguably have high potential), but our guys are clearly more established in their roles.

As far as Osemele versus Morse, one just inked the highest contract ever for his position while the other just got traded for a 6th round pick. I suppose you could argue he does have the more established track record, though.

Crowder's per season production rate is higher than Beasley's, while Brown's is slightly higher than Anderson's with them being very comparable. More established? I'd say more longevity.

What return Osemele brought is immaterial as he's definitely one of the best Guards in the league.

Both teams did well in getting their new players, but the Jets also added to big time UFAs in Le'Veon Bell and CJ Mosley.

Now that free agency is mostly over with to a grand degree, the focus shifts into the draft and how the Buffalo Bills might approach that. The team now has Cole Beasley and John Brown to go along with Zay Jones and Robert Foster. What does that do to the need of wide receiver and where they might consider drafting one? Plus, is DK Metcalf worth it to them at 9th overall as so many have linked the Bills? Joe Buscaglia and Matthew Fairburn discuss those topics, some of the other receivers available -- including Iowa State's Hakeem Butler

Maurice Alexander signs with Bills

The Bills made an addition to their linebacker group signing veteran Maurice Alexander reaching a one-year contract agreement.

Alexander, 28, played last season with the Seattle Seahawks where he served as a reserve safety and a special teams contributor. In 2016 and 2017, Alexander started at strong safety and free safety for the Los Angeles Rams.

His most productive season came at strong safety in 2016 when he posted 50 tackles, four pass breakups, two interceptions and a sack.

A former fourth-round pick of the Rams in 2014, Alexander joins a linebacker group that includes Lorenzo Alexander, Tremaine Edmunds, Julian Stanford, Matt Milano and Deon Lacey.

Interesting they're announcing him as a LB even though he's been exclusively a safety the past few years. I like it. Small, speedy LBs are a hallmark of McDermott defenses. Milano's background is as a safety.

I’m not concerned about this. I look at him as an OLB who covers TE/RB. SS is a position that can have high tackle counts. If needed he serves as a 5th DB.

In a 4-2-5 set in the DB you have 3 CBS, a DS and then him who can jump in as a LB role on a running play.

It probably allows them to carry the 4 safeties they like plus 5 LBs. The whole position flexibility thing.

I wouldn't mind bringing Taiwan Jones back either. He was a nice special teamer.

I saw the size listed and figured he was a SS. A morphed position, available for coverage drop-backs makes sense. Bills have struggled against dominant TEs in coverage, IMO.

Don't care, this thing really blew up outta nothing. Enjoy playing in a stadium that is collapsing, most likely for the next two years, on a team that won't win anything.
He'll just cry himself to sleep on the Scrooge McDuck piles of money he can afford several times over. Buffalonians are so dang sensitive. A 30-something year-old millionaire would rather live in year-round sunshine in of the fastest growing cities in America than Buffalo. SHOCKER.

Loving this off-season so far (especially Morse and Alexander signings). Leave it to the Bills to get my hopes up.

Nah dudes an ass so I can completely understand why people are upset. I was upset at first but he's going to be a cancer wherever he goes so good riddance.

Maybe Gronk can come out of retirement in 2021 and sign with the Bills :sarcasm:

Picking Torell f***ing Troup right before Gronk is the epitome of the garbage franchise the Bills are. Hometown stud from the position that the Bills have failed to fill adequately for almost the entirety of their existence and they took a garbage one dimensional DT.

Gronk in Buffalo this past decade would have changed so much. At his peak in his prime Gronk was probably the best TE in league history. Glad he's done from our perspective.

He’s probably the best TE in league history regardless.

Gronk was easily my favorite NFL player, which says a lot since he played for a division rival. The tre white incident took some of that feeling away for sure. But, I won’t let a few seconds of someone losing their control in the midst of competition unfairly cloud my judgment.

Yeah wouldn't want to do that like Gronk did. Guy is complete scum. Could have easily paralyzed White for life.
