I don’t think so. I think we know Eichel preferred to play in an American market. I think they likely asked Eichel/his agent which of the two he rather go to.

Tuch Krebs and Two 1sts isn't enough money going out from Vegas, and none are defensemen who Seravalli said is involved. Either Martinez or Theodore added would be enough.

(EDIT: Not saying this value is fair, or that I thought those guys were involved... It was just a factual statement about the dollar-in dollar-out aspect.)

It’s a good deal for both teams. A healthy Tuch is an underrated player. Krebs is gonna be a really valuable and versatile top six player. More picks. Eichel was never coming back.

Meanwhile, if Eichel gets healthy this is a no-brainer for Vegas, as nice of a prospect that Krebs is.
