Value of: BUF trades with NYR/LAK/VAN

So the Sabres trade the following:
J.J. Peterka- 1st line winger, almost PPG
Bo Byram 1-3 dman- 40 pts. Better than Clarke statistically (better PPG) about to hit his prime within a couple years.
Josh Norris- a top 6 center who has flirted with being PPG. Remnant of the Cozens trade
Jiri Kulich- projects as a 25-35 goal scorer and has made immense progress this year. 20+ goal pace as a TWENTY year old. Remnant of Reinhart trade.
Isak Rosen- fantastic skater and playmaker, PPG in the AHL at 21, just turned 22. Remnant of the Ristolainen trade.
Jack Quinn- projects as a top 6 winger with an excellent shot and above average speed and puck skills. projects as a 60ish pt winger.
Jacob Bernard-Docker/Connor Clifton - redundant D depth

And receive the following:
Alexis Lafreniere/- 40-50 pt winger, draft position means nothing. Never hit 60 pts. Peterka is much better. huge salary for little production
Braden Schneider- a 23 year old with 16 points in 69 games who's a tad overpaid at 2.2 mil
Elias Pettersson - huge salary for little production. now a 50-60 pt player.
Brandt Clarke - 22 year old with just less than a .5 PPG pace as a RH dman
Clarke is the only player I'm interested in but still not as good as a lot of the Sabres guys. I mean Byram is more productive than Clarke already and more in line with the objective of getting older and keeping good players

This has to be a troll-job. in this trade Sabres are literally giving up better players and high upside players for worse players and lower upside players. More expensive players. This is just not well thought-out or maybe everyone thinks they can fleece the Sabres now.

The value on that LA trade is probably fair buuuuut now that LA has wised-up with their lineup it's hard to see a world in which they could move either Clarke OR Spence...zero RHD depth behind them and Doughty isn't getting any younger.
