Just recovered from noro. Absolute hell for 24 hours. Couldn't hold down water or anything, had to check into the ER and get an IV and bloodwork done to make sure my appendix didn't explode. Lost about 8 pounds in water weight.

Anyways, come on Ottawa, to lowly Buffalo? That's sad.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you bounce back quickly. The easiest preventative is for people to be thorough washing their hands. Someone wasn't who had it and passed the joy on.

of course, the team should never be so dependent upon a single player

Don't fall into this trap. The roster/coaching is so poor that they were barely clinging to .500 when everyone was healthy, Dahlin gets hurt and they lose 13 in a row.

This doesn't happen by accident, or luck, or an act of god or whatever. It's due to a paper thin, poorly constructed roster. Same thing happened in 2022-23 with the 8 game losing streak. When injuries happen we go on horrible streaks.

The Maple leafs are leading the division and in competition for a presidents trophy, and that's with Auston Matthews missing 1/3rd of the games and being a shell of himself in the games he has played due to injury. The Leafs, despite their flaws, are a deep enough team to still coast through the regular season even mostly without Matthews.

We go from barely .500 to last place when one of our stars gets hurt.
