Saw him when I had seasons in NF. He was on a similar tier with someone like Jay McKee at the junior level. I always thought he could’ve been a better player as a pro.

He was really dominant in the OHL! Injuries, fit, took there tool perhaps ?

Was never the strongest skater. They traded him and Jay McKee for one another. If he’d had another gear or been able to carry an extra 15 pounds of muscle, he probably would’ve been a lot more intriguing as a pro. That’s not to speak ill of what he did as a professional, just that if he was faster, he would’ve scored more points, and if he was bigger, he would’ve been able to handle the grind more.

I think there may have been something off lace that led to him being traded. I’ll have to text my old roomie. We split the seasons up there.

Ottawa reminds me of how Larry Quinn run Sabres were. They don't want to pay players like Mark Stone, so the draft kids like Tkachuk to replace them and they never live up to expectations.

Much like how Roy, and Vanek were to replace Briere and Drury.
