Fun fact- Gallant used Miller and Schneider over Nemeth on the penalty kill in this game, which I think is the first time I've seen the young players tapped over Nemeth for that responsibility when the option was available.

GG is steadily increasing Miller and Schneider's responsibilities gradually, and it's working a charm right now for their development.

To be honest, if I were a Blues I would've been pissed at the favoritism toward our team. They were giving us the proverbial handjob all night. The part at the start of the 3rd where they said we're comfortable playing and winning from behind was too much almost, just after they got strafed for 3 like a bunch of mofos. Then it really happened.
It probably would have been more even if Pang was there instead of Jones

No, they definitely discussed it and in general the post game team was pumping our tires and razzing Anson Carter about saying we shouldn’t make a splash at the TDL.
Anson Carter still has it in for the Rangers trading him and being the answer to a trivia question. His claim to fame being traded for Jagr

The people I'd rather see with Panarin-Strome than Dryden Hunt, part 3, to complete the trilogy (which hopefully gets wiped in the migration):

Ethan Hunt
Ethan Hawke
Tony Hawk
Tony Soprano
Don Drysdale
Flo from Progressive
Bobby Flay
Pro wrestler Kenny Omega
Ulysses S. Grant
Liev Schreiber
Everyone who has appeared in the Fast franchise
Freddy Kreuger
Every member of AC/DC
DJ Khaled
Meg Ryan
Eric Cartman
Snoop Dogg
John Wick
Janet Yellen
Janet Jackson
Predator alien
Dan Fouts
Margot Robbie

I am all in for Flo from progressive. She's from Rockland County, and it would make for one of those heart-warming pre-game dialogs given by the one and only Sam Rosen.

Are the refs ever gonna call the player that mauls Trouba after throwing a clean hit?

If you don’t call Trouba for the hit, that means the hit is a legal play. At that point, you have to call the player going after him, yet they get it wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME.

schenn should have gotten an instigator.

shit is infuriating
Also how about delay of game too. The league is so troubled by how long the games are…unless they’re adding extra fights!!! Dudes love that shit!

You know she is banned from MSG. Confronted Dolan at a Knicks game a few years ago and it almost turned into a fistfight.

Right, I forgot, you're ok with trading 7th rounders for a top 6 player in return. Anything else will deplete our prospect pool.

Well don’t be pushing that you want to trade Nils Krav and a first and then try to gaslight us that no one wants to deplete the prospect pool.

Save your millennial buzzwords for someone else. Trading 3 assets, 1 of which most likely will never play another game for us, & another who doesn't have a spot here isn't depleting our farm system.

But yes, let's just keep collecting magic beans while icing a team in prime playoff position with 1/2 an AHL roster & tons of cap space. God forbid we should actually monetize some of those assets into productive NHL players who can replace the dead wood who currently make up the bottom 6.

Well I didn’t want to use the word lying but if you prefer that to gaslighting, then feel free to insert the word lying instead.

Trading Nils Krav and a first for a rental does deplete our prospect pool. It’s already down to 18th per the Athletic. If you move those three pieces you have precious little left to address the 2-3 long term forward pieces you do need going forward. You’re not getting a long term center for Robertson and a second.

And I’m not sure on what planet it makes sense to cite horrific forward depth as our main problem, and then advocate to spend 3-1 for a rental, which leaves you even thinner down the road, all in a year you have terrible, almost non existent odds of winning the Cup. We have no cap space. We need those prospects to improve moving forward. This is not our best or last chance to win a Cup or buy at a deadline.

Just impatience and foolishness.

Fortunately for you and unfortunately for some others, Dolan and Drury know that Zib, CK, and Panarin ain’t getting any younger and therefore will likely part with 2-3 out of: 1 nice prospect, Lundqvist, VK and a first in order to improve the team for more than just one playoff run. Might be all 4 for one guy for this year only and then another one with term.

The unfortunate group would be the Rangers as a team and all their fans, sadly.

Not once did I mention the word rental, but either reading comprehension isn't your strong suit or you just like being intentionally obtuse to create friction.

Let's agree to stop replying to one another. We have completely different ideas of how to improve this roster & you just wanna argue for the sake of arguing, while putting words in my mouth.

I think Anson Carter posts on his board.

"Trade a couple prospects for a rental, the team is close"

Ace: They shouldn't trade Kaako or Lafrieniere

Rational people: Who the f said that besides HF Main?

It's not fortunate for me...it's not something that's personal to me, it's simply the correct move to try & bolster this roster. I've never advocated to use prime assets for rentals, but this group needs a shake up starting with a couple of mid-6 wingers & ending with a new longterm 2C.

What am I absolutely certain of is; extending Strome would be an unmitigated disaster simply because of the identity this team has forged with their playground brand of hockey. There is an extremely limited chance for this team to be continually successful in the playoffs with that formula.

Are we really concerned with the prospect pool rankings when the NHL roster is the 3rd youngest in the league? And a 3 for 1 trade for a guy like JT Miller does greatly improve our depth over the next 2 years, especially when all 3 assets (Nils/Krav/1st) are either blocked or unrealistic to contribute in the near term.

The next 2 seasons this team has a great chance to do serious damage in the playoffs. How many games do they have to go nose to nose with other contenders and win before we can trade a prospect or a pick? Because as of right now, Drury hasnt traded any of the fruits of the rebuild, despite how much you irrationally hate him.

If VAN wont budge on their ask of Schneider, we move on and save Nils & the 1st rounder for the summer, when both absolutely will be traded. Kravtsov & the 2 2nd rounders will both surely be traded, for rentals or otherwise, and the writing is on the wall with Chytil as well.

The fans have also been plenty patient. Adding a veteran top 6 center does much more good than harm for this team. Othmann/Cuylle/Berard/Robertson are all still around. We'll survive a 3 for 1 trade.
