Reading the Blues board you'd think it was the Rangers board with the complaining about the overpassing.
They really did. Looking for those gorgeous plays. Look what happened when they exploded for those 3. badda bing, badda bang, badda boom.
Wasn't Shesty's fault, just happened. but amazingly they regrouped. Prob because they have confidence that Shesty would regroup. Just a matter of getting the lead back.

Thanks for thinking of me, but I respectfully ask......ummm, wth?
The Blues are a very solid team, wouldn't surprise me in the least if they returned to the dance. Lots of comp. out West though.

I was just demonstrating that I'm not the only one who has a vivid imagination. Your comment about me having too much time really hit home. I blame my job. It currently sucks. I get paid sitting at the computer all day doing mostly nothing.

My list of people who I'd rather see with Panarin-Strome than Hunt, continued:

Vanessa Carlton
James Hetfield
Lars Ulrich
Kirk Hammett
Robert Trujillo
Cliff Burton
Bruce Dickinson
Steve Harris
Janick Gers
Adrian Smith
Dave Murray
Nicko McBrain
Abraham Lincoln
Tim Horton
Tony Stark
Simon Cowell
Halle Berry
Glenn Close
Meryl Streep
Jessica Chastain
Sideshow Bob
Ice-T
Troy Aikman
Jessica Alba

Edit: Glad this isn't migrating over
There you go again @will1066.
You may need some form of medication. lmao
P.S. Nice though, and funny.

Everyone is ready to trade Lundkvist away not even 6 months after he was our no 1 prospect. Man, imagine if we had traded away Buchnevich in 2017 because Jimmy Vesey played over him

He probably shouldn't have been. Some of us have been ready to trade him since he was considered our #1 prospect too.

Anyway, this comp doesn't really work out as Nils is the one who has been usurped by the guy with 2 less Dev years than him, not the other way around.

Trouba dropped his mitts first.

I mean it is what it is these days. I didn't think this was the type of hit that warranted a fight (Trouba really held up. Should the opportunity to throw a similar hit tomorrow presents itself I hope he doesn't hold up) but he didn't get jumped.

I'd rather he answer the bell than be a Subban-esque chicken shit.
he was also cross checked/slashed by Barbashev after the hit before Schenn challenged him. The Blues should have been shorthanded.

I really liked the TNT coverage as well.

Jones talking about outscoring Gretzky head to head was hilarious.

Weird game for me. When I watched it initially, live, I thought the Blues were the dominant team, but when I watched it a second time, it seemed much more even (aside from the rangers meltdown at the end of the second).

Good to see Laf with another big goal. But he made some bonehead plays as well. Would like to see him make some better plays when he has the puck.

Don't think Hunt deserves the hate he's getting. Yes, he could have made some better plays offensively, but he was all over the ice, especially in the third. Hitting people, blocking shots, and being a puck hound. He should get some credit for the tying goal with his effort on that play. If I were GG, I'd put Chytil on that line and tell him that if he doesn't put the efort that Hunt does out there he's going back to Hartford.
I am not a Hunt hater. I think he should be in the lineup on the 4th line. But, on the tying goal, he received a pass creating a 2 on 1, then f***ed up the opportunity and almost cost us the goal by making contact with the goalie. He gets no credit for the tying goal; none.

Besides the point, we’re ready to get better. Fox and Trouba are cemented. Schneider has earned his spot. If Trouba is moved later, it will be because Schneider will be ready for second pair. Keeping Nils to be a third pair guy when he’s an asset that can help solve the forward trouble isn’t us giving up on him, it’s wanting to improve and being willing to pay the cost.

It's probably best for his career to get moved as well.

He isn't going to play on the top PP unit here. He would be better served getting those minutes somewhere.

Fox fed him to create the 2 on 1. He threaded a perfect feed to Strome, who double-pumped and didn't tap it home. Not Hunt's fault. Re: contact with the goalie, Edzo pointed out that Husso was well out of his crease. The Barbashev goal, though, was his fault for missing the net and springing St. Louis on the counter.

What will wind up happening is players will throw more questionable hits to entice a instigator penalty, so it will work against the refs to make those calls more often. I think it was fine.

He stepped up, hit was clean - Schenn took exception and they dropped the mitts. Thats just good hockey imo.

Instigator should be called, but it won’t be. Who cares? I like the excitement of Trouba decking guys with checks and then beating the snot out of their teammates directly after. Trouba is the best combo of toughness/talent the Rangers have had post lockout

I am so glad that Trouba has reverted to the norm. Dude is a beast. I wonder if he was just getting awful coaching under Quinn.

Perfect pass? It wasn't a good pass which is why Strome (who i never apologize for) couldn't get a shot off which led to him throwing a desperation pass into the slot which Nemeth shot. I'll take another look at the replay but that's how i remember it. Looked again, the pass was too far out front and Strome could have maybe tapped at it, but it was too far ahead to take a shot.

Considering Hunt had to get it over the defender as well as angle it from hitting the Blues player, it was a little ahead of Strome. So it wasn't perfect perfect. But it was there for a one-time tap/deflect. Strome didn't have his stick in a ready position for something like that, so he had to double pump.

Far from f***ing up the opportunity. He's f***ed up a lot but this isn't an example.

He's blocked.

He's our best trade chip.

We need a Center and/or forward help

I'd prefer to trade him for a comparable asset like Turcotte...
