Something has to be ailing Bergeron at this point. I may have missed it in a thread somewhere but it's been a number of games he hasn't looked like himself.

yup and he's averaging his lowest average time on ice since his rookie year.

Hes playing about 16 mins a night he usually averages 18-20

Great game by the ahl Bruins! Opposite of the Buf game.
The depth of this team came through tonight. Hope they keep this going.
Trotman-Warsofsky pair was real good. Didn't notice Morrow much, in a good way.
Fraser was great tonight, very involved in the play. Not only his two goals. Maybe this is his Soda moment. Remember when Carl moved to his natural position last season?
Lucic played great except that 2nd Ottawa goal.
Marchand is on fire right now.
Griffith is a smart player.
Soda is a genius. Great hands. Erik complements him well.
Rask made the save he had to.
Just a solid game given the circumstances.
Funny how this thread has only 5 pages. Nothing to argue about.

It's gotta be that blocked shot from the det game. He was great before that, after that you could tell he wasn't the same. Playing through an injury right now.

I thought the Bruins played really well. They were able to get the puck to the front of the net often instead of being limited to the perimeter. The B's won most of the races and battles and Ottawa was pretty terrible.

I thought it was was a really good game from pretty much everybody.
The exact kind of effort you're looking for to get you through a rough stretch.

I really worry for bergie ? What happen to him ?

I thought he looked great last night, like his usual self. Something's up though with Clode giving him such low ice time. 16 and a half minutes with Krejci out is just weird, regardless of the Bruins leading comfortably for a good chunk of the game.

Ya we were talking about this even 2 weeks ago. He took a monster shot a few weeks back that sent him out of a game very briefly, and he's not looked the same since. But it wasn't a head shot I don't think. My Dr Rex guess is a rib, something they'd let him play through and he'd still take faceoffs with. Dude is a trooper, probably refuses to sit while they are short handed. But when Krejci is back, I'd sit him a week. It could also be something he needs surgery for in the offseason, and this is the best he's gonna be. That's kind of scary to think about.

NHL 15 curse indeed.

It's nice to know the team won from a good effort. It sounds like the new kids on D want to put Bart out of a job.

Any word in why Krejci didn't play?

As for Karlsson-I think he is middle if the pack defensively. I think his injury set back his progression and I think he almost always sucks against Boston but have seen him play better against other teams.

I haven't seen him at all this year.

I bet he has a badly bruised foot (if it was a fracture I think they would pull him at this point). He's still winning facelifts which makes me think the injury is from the blocked shot.

woah check the conference standings out. look how many teams from our division hold a "playoff spot". Obviously means nothing 1/8th in, but still pretty interesting.

We were worried about Bergy too. Nothing we can see from where we sit but his shortened TOI ...well whatever it is it can't be too bad...right ?

Loui got hit in the head and took off his helmet and was shaking his head on the bench. Also Dougie was rubbing his shoulder after he took a fall. They both stayed in the game so all is well.

When they walked past us the smell of that stuff they put on sore bodies (ben gay smell) was strong so one (or more than one) is hurting.

Lots of early injuries.

I think if Chara,Hamilton,Seidenberg,McQuaid and Krug are all healthy going into the playoffs we just may be able to internally get by without acquiring a D. I still think our biggest need is for a RW to play with Krejci but the play of the kids has given me hope.Griffith,Fraser and the kids on the backend are looking very good.

What game was it, Detroit? Where he was hammered into the boards and went off the ice and down the tunnel for what seemed like an age. Bergy can take hits and get up, but he looked very ginger and I was surprised he came back on so quick after going off looking like he was in alot of pain.

I agree, I think what the Bruins are doing is smart, blood them all season, and if needed, they will be somewhat ready to get going in the playoffs. I think Griff stays on the top line for good this season. He's getting better with every game, the goals will keep coming. I just can't see how the Bruins will acquire a 1st line RW at the deadline without butchering half of the roster in order to get one.
