hey @Dom - OHL , what's it gonna take to get josh anderson in a bruins jersey?
think he's exactly what we need. big, strong, right-shot RW that can put pucks in the net and
do the dirty work in the corners.

Well Nugs, I try to avoid getting into this type of "what will it take" publicly.

I think what one has to ask themselves is: Is there a red flag here? Last years' situation with him wasn't the prettiest either.

Now, if you think there is a red flag, then you adjust your offer accordingly. If not, then you'll make a different offer.

I think I know enough about Josh Anderson to say he may not be getting the best advice on how to deal with the current situation and how he dealt with last seasons. Not the way I would deal with it, but I am not advising him. Maybe it's a family thing, maybe it's an agent thing.

The thing that one must remember is that if you do make a trade, not only are you trading for the player, but with him comes the "baggage" that may or may not be the root of the problem.

Personally, I like everything about the player on the ice. But based on this situation and past history, I'd pass. They tend to be more problematic down the road.

Just my two cents

I’m probably the wrong guy to ask that?

I think that Anderson fits a need for the B’s, big, physical RW that can skate, but as the other poster said, I think Heinen is a better overall player with more upside.

Depends on how much the B’s like Heinen I guess? If (and this is a big if), Senyshyn is able to elevate his play this year in PRO, he could be “that” guy and make JA unnecessary.
You pretty much summed up everything I was going to say after looking over the last few pages.

In his first season, Heinen has shown he is capable of playing at both ends of the ice while scoring 47 pts with Backes and Riley Nash which isn't something to scoff at. I think Heinen is capable of 50-60pts if he is playing in the top 6. A lot of people think this is the season Anderson will break out. He certainly has the tools to do so, but the Bruins would be gambling on that upside and if Anderson could match or surpass Heinen's production.

In my opinion, I think if the Bruins are looking at this from a skillset standpoint, this deal makes sense. I think Heinen and Bjork share similar skillsets, but I think Bjork is faster and has better offensive potential than any second-year player or prospect than maybe Donato. That doesn't mean Heinen is expendable, but it makes Sweeney's job easier if he feels that he needs to fill a hole. With that said, I think Columbus would have to add another piece in the deal to make it a fair trade.

Bjork too.

Not that I don’t think they’re talented...but they’re too similar and Anderson fills a need.

Bjork and Heinen are not similar players at all, other than being able to play a 3 zone game.

Bjork is explosive and one of the faster skaters you will see with a laser shot.

Heinen is more cerebral and relies on positioning rather than speed. While he has a good shot, he prefers to pass.

Not even close to similar.

Was talking more about their role, not necessarily their skills.

Neither physical...both top 9 IMO, not really top 6.

What are Anderson's issues? A search didn't yield anything other than a holdout?

I know Torts isn't his agents biggest fan as he called him a clown and that Anderson should part ways with him during Anderson holdout last yr and there were rumors of Anderson wanting to be traded last yr before his signing and that he may go to Switzerland and play if he wasn't signed by the jackets.

But I believe all this was created by his agent in an attempt to get leverage as far as Anderson himself goes, He seems to say the right things and brings a positive attitude with him as he gives a lot of interviews and is a pretty dedicated player as he worked out this pass summer with Gary Roberts, getting ready for the season.

You think Anderson is more of a Top 6 than Bjork or Heinen?

We are going to disagree there. Both of those guys are closer to Top 6 than Anderson.

I think that I’d be willing to give up a guy who does the same thing as a few others for a guy who brings an element that the team doesn’t have.

At the end of the year would Heinen or Bjork have more points than Anderson, probably...but IMO Anderson’s impact on the lineup may be more valuable.

Admittedly, I’m not very high on Bjork right now.

Not saying he’s going to bust or anything, but I have concerns about his durability, toughness and truculence, so to speak.

I just think that the top 6 ——Krejci’s line specifically, needs some physicality.

I also would trade either one of Bjork, Heinen and you can add Donato straight up for Anderson but I think Bjork will end up being the best of those three. He's realized during the off season that he needed to add strength and toughness to go along with his speed and skill and he did so. I like that in Bjork but he does seem to have that reckless style at times that will put him in harms way. I just home he keeps working on his strength and toughness because he has the skill-set and desire to have a pretty solid career.

I hope he succeeds too.

But, I think, like you, I’d like to use one smallish-non physical forward to get a bigger guy.

I think they can afford to move one of them.

It’s not like they’d be getting back a guy who hasn’t done anything.

Isn't this the perfect time to dupe the Oilers? Krug for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins fills a huge need for both teams.

Krug makes an abysmal Oilers PP way better and RNH is the perfect fit for the Bruins as #3 Center.

No because you’re not duping the oilers by getting RNH for Krug lmfao.

The Oilers need a lot but I would imagine they can find someone to play with McDavid.

Well this is the rest of the LW group.

Lucic
Caggiula
Khaira
Rieder

So which one of them is moving up to play alongside McDavid if they accept your proposal?

They all suck. Where do they start? I don't know. They have 2 points from dmen all year, McDavid has been in on every goal scored this year. Just seems to me they need point production from the back end. They may have to make another trade for a winger involving one of their other dmen.
