You also missed that none of Floridas tough guys, that were running around, dropped the gloves. They left that to the enforcer. Disappointed, nobody went after the guy that cheapshotted Poitras.
I agree as that was pretty brutal. I'm sure Don and Cam will be addressing this by the deadline. Don't have the personnel to do this and can't have Pasta, Mac or Marchy answering the call. Freddy is not the guy either unlike before. Good on Forbs for going with their guy. He has been great this season.

This teams gonna need some toughness now that Looch is gone.

Panthers came out with a target on McAvoy (rightfully so) but they were just getting rag dolled in the physical game all night.

Condolences to Darren Pang and the TNT play by play guys on the loss.
At one point last night, Darren Pang said something about he'd rather have one goalie over the duo system the Bruins have. lol. Guess he doesn't realize having two really good goalies is a good thing.

In fairness….

(and overall I’m probably closer to your perspective on this) but I think it’s fair to say that overall the goaltending has been A+ level.

So, I think a more accurate statement/opinion is that without nearly superhuman goaltending on a very consistent basis, they might be a little better than .500.

Again, I appreciate the fact that goalies are part of the team and should be expected to do well, but what we’re getting (fortunately) is almost unprecedented play from both guys.

Kind of like saying the early 1970's Bruins would have only been a .500 team without Orr & Esposito. No kidding?

Not really unprededented because they had this kind of goaltending last season too.

Anyone know why Pasta didn't play last night?
Pasta played. He was visibly terrible lol. Probably his worst game of the season. Turnover machine. I said before the game he looked stoned and he played like it

Dont u know it doesnt count as s win unless the goalies are average d is dominate and forwards are animals. Fans love to be critical no matter how we win.

That first period was rough. Florida running McAvoy late and high with no push back from Boston and the officials looking the other way. As soon as Boston puts together a couple half decent shifts they get whistled for penalties. Terrible attempt at game management by the on ice officials

Happy to see Boston settle it down and take over after that.

Fair, however the big difference is if Orr or Espo had a rare bad night, the team could still win…..and likely did more often than not.

By the time we realize a goaltender is off his game, it’s probably too late.

Happy with the game overall. Another dominant effort by our goalies and the team as a whole really bounced back after that awful first period. The biggest disappointment was no one making "tough guy" Lundell answer for cross checking out 19 year old in the face.

I go back to the cup winning team in 2011. If that happened to Seguin, half the team would have lined up to tear Lundell apart. I know the times are different, but Poitras shouldn't have to take that.

Though Orr had probably as many bad nights as Ullmark has had over the last regular season and a quarter.

To me the biggest true surprises of this season are Beecher and Coyle. They have both impressed me more than most.

I always get mildly triggered by people saying this about Coyle, maybe that's just my own problem.

In Boston he was never asked to be this player due to the org depth. Top 6 production comes with top 6 minutes and top 6 responsibility. It also comes with top 6 PP time. Coyle is finally getting that and a leadership roll.

He'd been playing hurt for at least a year before this one too, so he's finally his best self. I'm not even a little surprised that him and Zacha are very clearly NHL top 6 players. Are they top tier? No. Are they top tier 200 foot game? Definitely getting there.

This team gets real scary putting a bonafide superstar beside 88 somewhere in the next 2 years with their cap space. Be afraid NHL, be very afraid.

Correct. It is the 2404 train.

Note, there are delays due to construction, but you should still get to the Garden well before puck drop.
