I know nobody wants to hear this but that wasn't terrible. The second period was but that's because we wanted to fight. I get it, that's cool.

We don't f***ing do anything, granted, but neither do our opponents. I'd rather do that than the ECHL defense we've played since...........always?

Change takes time. We need change.

That last minute where boston had more attempts on net was a microcosm of this team. This team is an embarassment

Well, the first period was one of our best periods of the season. The second period was horrible though it's not like Igor had to face a ton of point blank shots. Third period it felt like Boston was just content shutting us down.

Look at the leadership group too this team has. You have two coaches in Quinn and Oliver that have no NHL success, Trouba wearing an A who hasn’t lived up to his deal and has underachieved, Kreider who I don’t even have to get into anymore, and Zibanejad. They need a legit core group of leaders. And an NHLhead coach that knows his players. Gauthier had it going at played 8 minutes. Listen, I know Blackwell and PDG work hard but my God, you’re not winning games or developing either depth forward. Let’s see what Gauthier has on a line with like Lafreniere and strome. Bad coach that doesn’t want to give certain guys chances.

The TDA love fest as the reason why the PP is bad is laughable. Zone entry is a minor problem compared to losing every faceoff and not having any dangerous threat to shoot the puck. Teams aren't even shadowing Ziba anymore. Now he is just taking 40 foot wristers praying that Kreider does something. Sad thing is...he's still missing the net. The worst part above all else is there is zero compete on the PP. We didn't win 1 puck battle and the 6 on 4 was just a microcosm of the entire game and season on the PP.

Repost from the GDT - we've got to figure out a way to get the offense going

We were the second best team on the ice again (which isn't that surprising). Take out a pretty soft goal and it could have been a 0-0 game...
PP was woeful and our 1st line was invisible, probably no correlation that they're basically the same players
With the 1st line being a liability Quinn had to find a way to get Gauthier more ice-time. He was one of the few who attempted to carry the puck to the net and look dangerous.

The kids look dangerous off the rush but our top 6 cannot generate shots, rebounds or get players in front of the goalie

Alternative theory to the game: The Bruins are a top 3 team. Showed it tonight and shut us out, rather easily though. Also they probably had the five best players on the ice on their team.

Stars of the game:

Shesty
Kaapo
?

Gauths speed was nice. Buchy's fight was Semin-esque.

I forgot about that fight, good call back.

Easily the best game of the year.

No way to complain about the Rangers, tonight, other than the uncelievably bad job at faceoffs. Bruins are just great.

Blaming Quinn for this one is silly. He can't make players score.

Is this a joke?

That second and third period are acceptable to you?

The PP is ok?

Quinn isnt responsible for any of the above. Not even the cluelessness on the PP?

I don’t expect much from this season. The divisions suck, and having to play a team 8 times sucks. Between the postponed games, no fans in the stands, injuries, and rough start due to no pre-season with not a full training camp, ready to just focus on Oct when things get at least close to normal.

You know what upsets me the most: it's not losing. Its those stupid striped hats they wear this year. They look like ice cream vendors...

No. It is not laughable. Guy is gone and rightfully so. But he was Very good running the PP. If You cannot see that, well, Then You need glasses

Also, how in a game where it was virtually impossible to be invisible with all the penalties and grit did Kreider somehow manage to remain invisible out there???
