I was just telling him be patient because that's the main issue right? You're saying everyone is impatient and everything is fine so i don't see an issue.

I don't see what's wrong with exercising patience for a couple of teenagers. Not sure why that deserves mockery. Now our vets is another story.

I never mocked it...the point was that people are voicing legitimate concerns and people keep saying "have patience, you're impatient" as if that's the only issue. i was just taking a jab at what True Blue said. Not that serious

Maybe we're defying the whole team "being off" differently but I see a lot of cohesiveness as in team's structure - something that we haven't seen in the last couple of years. Definitely result of maturation and / or better personnel, IMO.
Oh, for sure. Definitely more cohesive and structured. I just mean, it feels like offensively they're maybe gripping their sticks too tight--all the things that worked last year, we're missing by inches this year. We play sound defensively and then make one mistake trying to do too much and it's game over. That kind of stuff. Somethings just a bit off. It feels like once they figure out how to get it "back on," they'll improve their record quickly as the team is otherwise playing well enough to win pretty much every night.

We're like a baseball player who keeps putting together good at-bats, but pulls the ball just foul a couple times, lines out in another at-bat, and then strikes out with the bases loaded in the ninth when an ace closer completely fools us. Seems like we're doing the right thing, but are just a bit off.

Last part sounds like Gary Sanchez, without the good at-bats of course but everything else describes him perfectly

Georgie was okay. Can’t put too much blame on the goalies when they’re getting no goal support. As much as our d had improved it also seems like we give up a breakaway goal every night.
We GET so many more opps. than we give up. Thing is, we dont score on our breakaways, and opposing teams abuse our goalies.

I think that it is a perception vs. reality. The team IS the youngest in the league and is STILL in the rebuild. People wanted to see a gang busters team that would come out and dominate behind Lafreiere's 10 goals in the first 10 games.

I believed that this team is going to be a cusp team this year. They will fight for the last playoff spot. They may make it or they may not. That is the nature of a cusp team. As we sit today, the Islanders are in the last playoff spot with 12 points. The Rangers have 11. They are basically where I expected them to be.

Could things be better? Sure. But I would be a lot more worried if I did not see structure, adherence to a system and the young players either not looking out of place or continuing to take meaningful steps forward.

I was expecting them to fight for one of the last playoffs spots before this season started but i think they need to get healthy first

Ok. I am game. What is the legitimate concern that is eating at you?

Pretty soon the seeing eye grounder that sneaks through the infield and stars a 15 game hitting streak is coming.

Lol you call that going after him? Marchand bitched our star player while he was hurt and then scored the game winner. This team is a bunch of soft bitches and they are becoming the punching bag of the division
He was willing to drop the gloves and Brad backed away. Then the refs warned them both in a 2 - 2 game. cooler heads prevailed. He couldn't go to the box alone.

You didn’t understand “NYR Even-strength Shot Locations”? :help:

There are like 3 different things going on there, shapes, colors etc. I guess it's different types of shots and results. Yeah, this is not a good chart, just way too much shit going on.

Edit: And half of those were in the same location so I don't even know who it was. It's just too much shit. It's bad visualization. I like the chart I mentioned because it doesn't try to fit 10 things into 1 chart.

I cannot fathom a simpler way to show shot locations w/ shot type. But, I wrote the disclaimer for a reason lol.
