I hope this game finally puts to rest that this team isn't a contender. Best defense/goaltending combo we've ever had? Please.

Trade Cally for someone who can score/finish
Dump Boyle - he's dead weight
Bench Hank and ride Talbot for the next few games.

I knew it. Short of winning a Gold, Lundqvist was going to be trashed by the fans. Two games later, he is back to being trash.

Now that I think about it, Callahan was pretty smart asking for 6.5-7 mil a year. It means he is untradeable because no body is willing to pay him that 2. No body is going to be willing to give up good pieces which we are requiring for a rental 3. It forces us to resign him. Touche, touche.

Cam Talbot, the career AHL/NHL Backup goalie, rightful team Canada starter and the rightful 2014 gold medalist >>>>>>>>> Henrik Lundqvist, the 5 time Vezina finalist, Vezina winner, 2006 gold medalist, NYR MVP for a decade, 30th all time in wins, and 28th all time in shutouts

AINEC

Lundqvist has like 30 more shutouts than Talbot has NHL games played.

Mark my words, this team can have the reincarnation of the 76 Canadians and they won't sniff a Stanley Cup with that sieve in net.

Pretty demoralizing last two games. Two very important games.

There's no way I start Henrik on Wednesday. Not because he's not deserving, but the long layoff will just add to the pressure.

Play Talbot. He's 2-0 against the Leafs and only allowed two goals.

Kinda sucks that might be Callahan's last game as a Ranger. I was hoping for a better effort.

The Rangers lose another game by being physically outworked, too soft on the puck, and defensively confused.

But no. Trading for half of the CBJ's roster, bringing in a coach known for coaching a soft, mentally and physically weak team, asking the superstar on valium known as "Nash" to contribute, and expecting a rookie to take on the duties of a 1st liner are ALL fantastic ideas.

****ing joke. Team has become a ****ing joke.

Awful game. This team is not a contender.

Hopefully Sather does the right thing with the UFAs on Wednesday. I love Cally but he's starting to deteriorate.

The good news is this team has a very favorable schedule the rest of the way so all hope is not lost.

Talbot should have started on Saturday, and hopefully he gets at least one of the next two.

Did Lundqvist get a sieve for his birthday, or did he bring one back from Sochi?

Inexcusably terrible. Didn't get to see yesterday's game, but it looked bad statistically. Tonight, just awful.

Gold or Silver has nothing to do with it.

We don't care about the Olympics more than the Rangers. Hank let in 6 goals tonight. That is why he is being trashed.

Lundqvist was brutal. Fighting the puck all night. Zero rebound control.

Rangers could have, and should have been up by a couple goals after the first period, but they failed to capitalize. That shortie absolutely killed the momentum in the 3rd. Richards blew his coverage once again. This team needs a viable PPQB on the blue line. Richards is way too much of a liability.

I love Hank, but this game and the Philly game are two examples of Hank's play falling off a cliff if something goes wrong early in a game. If he can't get into his groove with a few saves early and gives up a goal, he's destined to have an average/bad game.

No perseverance, poor body language, no ability to respond to adversity === mentally weak

When is Hank going to play a great game? He's being paid as the best goalie in the league, but he's only been league average and isn't having any performances where he stands on his head to win the game.

I don't care how many deflections Boston scored on. If you are the best goalie in the league, you don't allow six goals. You find a way to keep a number of those goals out.

Mark my words, this team can have the reincarnation of the 76 Canadians and they won't sniff a Stanley Cup with that sieve in net.

Oh Snowblind. I wish I was as passionate about anything as you are about hating Henrik Lundqvist. I admire that drive.

He was good in the 1st. He wasn't giving up rebounds. Not his fault Iginla was untouched in the crease.

Lundqvist played lights out all of January, played lights out in the NHL in February, played lights out in the Olympics to the end of February, and comes back to two rough games and he can only stop cup cake shots now?

Come on. No one can objectively believe that.

This whole season has been a bi-polar roller coaster train for the fans and Lundqvist. Last month you were saying you were wrong about him, and he found his game, and I can find multiple threads and posts of yours commending him coming up with huge saves or where you said "Thank you Lundqvist."

Now, he can only stop a floating cup cake shot, because 120 minutes after the Olympics, he isn't talented anymore. He has regressed again, and Talbot is once again the marquee goaltender in New York?

I cannot wait to see what Talbot does if he EVER gets a starting position in the NHL.

Many defensive breakdowns. One goalie made a slew of great saves; the othet didn't make any. Loss. Cally is a good player; anything over $5M is ovetpayment. Bye Cap. You're simply not worth the kind of money you want.

I voted for Cally's agent, in honor of cally, for memories and shiz.

At least hanks hair looked nice on his bday.

Richards gets an A for effort but a B- overall this year. He should go.

If this team can somehow get Vatenen they have one PP QB.

Fast has been playing the right point in Hartford. Would it kill the continent to give him a crack with the big club?

Team misses Zuc too.
