His stats at AAA for a 15/16 YO are not impressive either, averaging a point a game.
The best 17 YO players in Ontario are playing in the OHL, which is considered one of the top junior leagues in North America.
It would have been nice to see Dean play a year in the USHL as a 17 YO, so we could have a better benchmark vs playing high school hockey.
I completely understand why Dean wanted to take the " educational" route and by passed the OHL.
Too many athletes have no degree to use once they retire from playing professional sports.
With 2 points in 24 games this year, guess there is no place to go but up?
