Prospect Info: Bruins Prospects XXIV

Why are leternaeu numbers so poor? What's going on?
He played with High School players last year, very watered down competition.
I would have liked him to play a year at USHL ( last year).
I expect his development to be slow, give him 3 full years then we can circle back to see what we have.
His ceiling could be Tage Thompson, floor is Mike McCarron.

I think his floor might be more Justin Brazeau.
Tage Thompson is a reach but keep in mind these big guys take more time to grow into their bodies. Tage was considered a possible bust his first few years in Buffalo. People said he looked like an awkward giraffe on skates. Now he's a lethal sniper.

Lohrei resembled that remark, even earlier this season, but you can see the difference between now and then.

Obviously no comparison in terms of players to Brazeau, as Letourneau is a dramatically better skater.

B`s might have something in that Hendrickson kid, was listening/watching What`s Bruin with @DominicT , showed a few highlights, kid looks like a keeper

He is an interesting player. He is also a year older than Letourneau, and played 3 years in the USHL before going to college, and has 8 points in 27 games.

Not saying this to knock down Hendrickson. I think he has a chance to be a pro winger. Just pointing out how hard it can be to make the jump to college, even if you have the Juniors experience

A lot of USA watchers were anointing Hendrickson for the 2025 U-20 team, to the point a few had him as a lock, all while predicting Pelosi wouldn't even get an invite. Their NCAA and national team fates didn't quite work out as predicted. I've seen absolute Richard of Minnesota this season, so it's awesome to see some optimism there.

Development is never a straight path. Or something equally pithy.

Also, we all know the Donfather wrote that post. If you'd been talking about a 26 year old "kid", I'd have reported you.

Thing about Hendrickson is he is getting mostly 3rd and 4th line duties. When he is moved up to fill in on the second line with skilled players, which is rare, that's when he is producing. Next year will tell the story with him.

When he was teamed with Pelosi in Sioux Falls, they seemed to work pretty well together, I know it was the USHL, but it worked.

They also played 14 games at a very high level in the Prep Hockey Conference and he lead everyone in points with 25. Teams included
They played Junior B teams from the GOJHL and won all 9 games, my kids High School would have been thrashed by these teams. This was an elite program that played likewise teams

First time i saw him play was 23/24 against KW Siskins and Listowel Cyclones of the GOJHL.

St Andrew's is an excellent program and they are always trying to get top notch competition. You are absolutely right.

Lets hope he pans out, like you said earlier - next year will be the reveal. I am optimistically hoping. Wish I knew he was playing in Niagara, I could have seen so many of those games.

As a freshman he's played limited minutes on Greg's squad. Fourth line and a few DNPs. No wonder, BC is a powerhouse again.
Without looking it up I would not know the average minutes a freshman gets per team but I do understand what your saying about the team is strong so minutes are limited. Maybe he should have went to a school with an easier path to more minutes :sarcasm: Anyhow, see where the kid is in a couple seasons time.

Brunet is going to see some nhl games I’m pretty sure. Maybe not this year. But eventually. He has all the tools and plays the game right.
