We start in the Q as Moncton wins 9-3 ,our guy Loke Johansson 2 assists 1 shot ,1 hit, +1

Umass Amherst wins 5-1 over Air Force
Locmelis 1 shot +1 15 for 20 faceoffs

Colorado College beats Northern Michigan 6-1
Gallagher 1 goal 2 assists 5 shots +4, so far a nice FU to BU

STOP THE CORONATION!!!!

I'm not a big Corey Pronman fan as I don't see how he can know so much about ALL of the drafted prospects, but his 2022 redraft actually shows the Bruins some love:

1. Dans Locmelis, draft position 119, redraft 34 (Tier 6, projected to play NHL games)
2. Matthew Poitras, draft position 54, redraft 43 (Tier 6, projected to play NHL games)
3. Frederic Brunet, draft position 132, redraft 75 (Tier 7, has chance to play NHL games)


That being said, Locmelis over Poitras? Ok

So Poitras is projected to play some NHL games. He is of course already 7th in the draft class in games player. He clearly should be in tier 4 on this list (bubble top line, middle 6) , and even if he wants to be conservative he goes to tier 5 (middle of the lineup) . He has clearly shown enough that his ability to stay healthy is the only question remaining about whether he will have a long career

Hence my point, there is no way he knows about all of these players. Somewhat fraudulent if you ask me.

Locmelis produced at the same rate in the NCAA last season as Poitras did in the freaking NHL with a bum shoulder, like what are we doing here lol

I'm the biggest Poitras fan there is. Also, not a big fan of Pronman.

However, I could make a small case for Locmelis over Poitras, but it's such a small case, I won't waste my time.

Again with the 'It's Pronman' caveat but he also shows some love to the B's in the 2020 re-draft:

- Mason Lohrei from 58 up to 23, middle of the lineup player tier, first round value potential, have to agree so far
- Riley Duran from 182 to 57, has chance to play NHL games tier, if he ends up as a 2nd round value player, then good on the B's for these picks.

Luke Evangelista and Mason Lohrei were both picked in the second round but have looked quite good as pros and could have significant NHL careers. Evangelista fell due to his size and skating, but he’s shown to have legit NHL skill and sense on top of playing hard and getting to the hard areas to create offense. Lohrei was a re-entry defenseman who tantalized due to his skill in a big frame, but there were concerns over his skating and defending. He’s shown himself to be not only skilled but very skilled, so he’s been able to overcome those skating concerns by just how many plays he makes with the puck.

Friday Night Wrap

Let's start with the game I watched in it's entirety
Quinnipiac lost 2-1 to Maine in a absolute grind fest ,Pelosi had a strong game with 1 assist 2 shots 8 for 13 faceoffs
Groenewold struggled a bit in this one taking a couple of penalties and was caught out of position multiple times, he had 1 shot

Hendrickson 1 assist 4 shots +1 7-5 win over Minnesota Duluth

Svedebäck 27 saves, 4-1 win over Arizona State

Locmelis 2 assists 2 shots +1 13 for 22 faceoffs 4-3 loss to Sacred Heart at home...

As expected BC beats up on AIC 5-0
Jellvik 1 assist 0-8 faceoffs
Gasseau 1 assist 2 shots +2 8 for 10 faceoffs
Letourneau 4 shots +1 3 for 4 faceoffs

Schmaltz 2 shots -1 8 for 11 faceoffs 3-2 win over Minnesota State

Harvard beat the NTDP 5-4
Langenbrunner 1 shot

Dubuque lost 5-0
Kostadinski -2
Morello 4 shots

Moncton won big again 7-1
Johansson 1 assist 2 shots 2 hits

I don't know what to think of the Jellvik as a center experiment. I think it is clearly not the position he will play at the pro level, but I guess it is good for his development
