Crazy game
Was lucky enough to attend and yes, it was a crazy game. UMASS was utterly outclassed in the first period and I was expecting a total blow out. BC has so much speed and skill, I just didn't see how UMASS could hang in there, but they did. The game really opened up in the 2nd periodd - the three unanswered goals by UMASS were really exciting. Locmelis putting Umass up 4-3 in the 3rd...also so exciting.

Those two stupid penalties in the 3rd killed UMASS. A 5 on 3 against that PP is a death sentence.

All B's prospects (Jellvik, Gasseau, Locmelis) looked great except for Locmelis' elbow penalty in the first 22 seconds of the game.

Locmelis is going to be just fine. Assuming Gauthier, Perrault, Leonard and Smith go pro next season, Gasseau and Jellvik could be really well-positioned to lead the team as Juniors.

I was at that game too. I get four free tickets from my office and just need to buy one to go with my family. Been three times this year. With all the talent, the BC tickets are getting scarce. I actually had to pay quite a premium just to get my one seat. Box office was sold out.

I would say the B's prospects looked good, but there is such a clear difference between them and the elite NHL talent on the BC roster. My opinion is that Jellvik and Gasseau are better than Locmelis. Maybe that will change next year. I think of the three Gasseau is easily the best NHL prospect because of his combination of size and soft hands. He's becoming a pretty effective penalty killer too.

That’s true - Smith, Gauthier, Perrault, Leonard are true high-end studs.

I am still seeing a lot with Locmelis that I like. he is almost too smart for his linemates. Case in point, his lopsided goals vs assists. Put him with some top line talent and see what he can do.

Gasseau is next for me, followed by Jellvik.

My understanding with locmelis is his linemates just have very little offensive skill at this point. I'm actually rather impressed with what he has been able to accomplish.

I wonder if they moved Locmelis up a line? He has been a bit of a one man band on his line this year, so nice to se the big night
