Locmelis is tearing that league up. I wonder where the stats for that league are.

Curious where you got your Locmelis stats because I'm missing something.

I thought the league was down all last week and his first game back isn't until Friday.

Could be my streaming schedule.
I probably screwed that up,let me look again

Edit number 2 inputted wrong by Eliteprospects.com, it's gone now

How do we feel about Merkulov as a potential C option next season and beyond?

On pace for 20+ goals and 55 points in first full AHL season, been in an absolute heater past 10 games too.

I think next year is a split season between AHL/NHL at the best. As far as long-term potential, who knows? Players with this type of 1st year performance have turned into busts (Khokhlachev/Hamill) or stars (Krejci) or something in between (Heinen).

Gasseau is getting extremely interesting.

I thought he played well with the limited ice he got,he'll make a bigger splash next season

Low and slow for Langenbrunner. While he is playing a limited role...he is on one of the better teams in college hockey.

Any college or university prospect that the Bruins might be considering giving them a look this season?
If we're talking drafted prospects making the jump from the NCAA to the NHL this season, I think it's unlikely. Lohrei, Kuntar, Olson, and McFaul are probably the most likely to turn pro but I don't think any of them are ready for NHL ice time. Maybe Kuntar or Olson could handle 10 minutes on the 4th line without being a detriment (a low bar) but they're both better suited for Providence IMO.
If we're talking undrafted free agents, it's possible the Bruins could offer a NHL stint (similar to McLaughlin last year) as incentive to sign. One of the benefits of their record is that the Bruins will likely be looking to rest regulars over the last few weeks of the season so that could open the door for some prospects (including UDFAs) to get an audition.
Also have to be mindful of the contract limit. I'm not sure what the Bruins are at currently but they may be forced to use AHL deals on NCAA guys (I believe they did this with Beecher last year) if they don't have enough room under the NHL contract limit.

One thing to consider is that the way the cap is calculated a lot of those late signed college guys end up having a seriously silly cap hit.

I want Edward to make it to the big club for purely selfish reasons, it`ll be fun to have a D man back there once again who brings the nasty
It's odd, because the stats are good. Often, playing a zone defenceman, I see him chasing guys out to his own blue line and I think WTF.

It's a wonder Hunter let's him get away with it.

But he does bring the nasty.

haha, envisioning him chase a guy out to the blueline. From the very little I know about Hunter, he sure seems to coach a ton of kids who make a nice transition to the NHL. 2-3 year project Dom?
