I like the sound of this guy in the story:
The player given the biggest promotion in the early rounds is No. 39 Hunter Smith, a 6-6, 208-pound right wing from the Generals. Ranked 140th on Central Scouting's midterm release, Smith had 16 goals (seven power-play goals) and 40 points in 64 regular season games.
"He's made himself into a player," Edwards said of Smith. "He came into the league as a role-type of player and worked hard to develop his skill set. He's one of the toughest guys in the league but complements that with good puck-handling and passing ability. Big guys who are tough and skilled are very valuable in the NHL."
1st time I hear of him. But that sounds pretty good. Looks like a big tough kid with potential to improve based on his work ethic. Try to get Edmonton's or Calgary's high 2nd rounder for Bartkowski and take a shot at this guy.

His upside -at his size- is insane. Think about it --he had 1pt in 30 games last year. His improvement has been astronomical. People weren't raving about Lucic's skating either.I don't see a draft thread but Central Scouting is out with its final list today.

I'd be through the roof if we drafted him --like a young Zdeno Chara on the wing! His playoffs right now is going to push him up the chart too.
Can we keep the Bruins prospect talk on this thread and move the draft stuff where it belongs please?
Saying Hutchinson is all smiles is like saying water is wet.
Guy is without a doubt the most upbeat goalie I have covered in my 14+ years.
Just an affable, decent person whose sunny disposition masked a fierce competitiveness. No room at the inn for him in Boston, but Winnipeg might make a little hay with him. They also signed Connor Hellebuyck today. Interesting...I think they're sick of Ondrej Pavelec's inconsistency and injury issues.
As I've said here before I don't think the European draft choices from last year will play in NA next year.
BRUINS EURO DRAFT PICKS
Linus Arnesson LD..20..6’02..190..L. Djurgården DIF..SHL.
At seasons end wasn't playing much. 6 out 10 playoff games and only zeros in the columns except for a two minute minor penalty. In fact Sam Lofqvist it was who replaced Linus A. But, take it with a grain of salt, it's been the playoffs, where teams don't talk too much, he might have had some injuries that wasn't told.
After playing 44 regular season games, he still lack the strenght to go with bigger forwards and seems to hesitate at times, prefering to back down on defense.
It's a given that he will stay in Sweden. Playing in the Swedish top league one more year and establish him on DIF defense will be a tough enough challenge.
So in terms of strength about Linus projection. It's rare a young defenseman develop the defensive side of the game first. I think Linus has more to show. He is an excellent outlet passer and has untapped offensive potential. No one ever says so, maybe because his number's are way down. Sometimes a young player gets tabbed in a certain role which he can be stucked in. If not, they can explore new parts of the game that just comes with confidence.
Since playing a lot of international games for Sweden and always been the one taken/given responsibility defensively. When added more muscles and improving his shot I think you could find a very good allround defenseman in Linus Arnesson.
Peter Cehlarik LW..19..6’02..195..L. Luleå..SHL.
Contract 2015-16. Peter had an up and down season to say the least. Struggling to establish him in the SHL with Luleå, he was lent to Asplöven in the same league as Djurgården in Allsvenskan. Then was brought back in late season by Luleå. He played in only two playoff games as they were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs in six games. Luleå Jrs didn't make the playoffs so his season came to an end and I don't think Peter is really satisfied in his play this year.
I was most interested in seeing him play in the World Jrs in Malmö Sweden. Watching him closely, I kind of expected more of him than what I saw. He had terrible linemates to his excuse, but, it was his strongest part of his game that concerned me.
His shot or rather lack of getting the shots away fast enough. The reason was obvious, he needs to get quicker on the skates and stronger too. He has good hockey sence, good passer and seem to know how find his teammates, dangerous in front of the net.
It’s possible he will be better suited to the smaller rinks in North America, but, it remains to be seen. He's a big boy at nearly 6'3 200 pounds. But he has good upside, no doubt about that.
Anton Blidh..LW..19..6’01..190..L..Frölunda..SHL.
Anton was easily the one who made the most improvement of the Bruins Euro draft picks from 2013. Almost unknown, at the draft, he came back from Bruins Development Camp and challenged for a spot on a very deep Frölunda team (P.J. & Loui has played here). After being sent down to his Jr team. He was loaned a few games to Karlskrona in Allsvenskan. Then injuries hit Frölunda hard and for a while it was more juniors than pro players on the big squad it seemed.
Anton Blidh was one of the call ups and impressed, while not setting the league on fire. But, the opportunity came and Anton sort of grabbed it. I like this kid. He played so well he earned himself a pro contract. His style reminds me of PJ Axelsson, but, while I'm not saying he'll be as good as PJ. He's more aggressive and should be a better goal scorer
Blidh works hard, quick, has good speed, kind of tough style. Modest number.
But in a very disappointing playoff for his team Frölunda he was a bright spot and scored a goal and two assists in six playoff games. He did not play in World Jrs.
While Anton Blidh made the most impression and improvement of the three. I am not sure who will be the best of the 2013 Bruins Euro Draftees.
It was easy to see that Linus was a year older than Peter and Anton at the start of the season. Not so at the end.
I suspect it doesn't do much good for a junior player developing with so many different teams to focus on. Always shifting from junior league, top elite league, lower level of elite league and international tournaments two three times a year.
Also always playing with different players, different systems along. That would be a big help in playing for example Providence Bruins. Playing the same system throughout the organization has been a key for Boston I believe.
I expected Linus to establish him in a real shot down role defenseman. He did but only to a smaller extent.
I expected Peter to breakout this year. Highest upside, but, didn’t breakout in any way.
I expected an improvement from Anton but no as much. Really surprised a lot of people.
I wouldn't be surprised if Peter Cehlarik will be the first. He's already moved away from home two years ago I think. That should make it easier for him. But, I do think he will play and establish him as a regular for Luleå, where he is signed through 2015-16 season.
We are often expecting too much too soon. Seeing the guys on ice is a far cry from when the equipment is removed, then you'll see just a very young kid in front of you.
Hopefully you didn't watch. Fitzgerald was atrocious. Maybe the worst player on the ice.
And of course he scored right after I say that.
For some here, that would be proof he`s a legit prospect
not saying he is or isn`t, I know nothing about the kid
